After a long break of almost 5 months, I'm delighted to announce that our Yoga classes in the Hall are due to start tomorrow at 6 pm!

The hall has plenty of room to space out mats 2 meters apart but please bring your own mat and props (if you have some). I will also provide some sanitising gel for practitioners and we will keep the door open to improve the ventilation has much as possible.

I hope you can join tomorrow, anyway from now on the classes will carry on as normal.

As the total number of confirmed corona-virus cases across the UK is growing and people are more likely to spread the virus gathering to practice indoor activities, I feel cancelling tomorrow's class is the right thing to do.

Distancing has worked in places like China and also keeping a healthy immunology system is key to pass through this extremely contagious virus. Therefore, practising Yoga and cleansing techniques as nasal cleansing can help us to stay healthy and prepare for whatever comes to us.

Keeping a positive attitude, thoughts, and calmness at this moment is even more essential than ever.

I will keep you updated regarding the following classes.

Namaste!

Stay safe & healthy!

I just want to let you know that tomorrow Lorena (Yogena Yoga) will be conducting the class with her slightly different flow and style!

Lorena has been covering my classes before and many of you know her, but if you don't know her, tomorrow is a good opportunity to practice her style.

Sorry for last-minute changes, but hopefully you enjoy it!

Movement Playground Gaga Class 19/08/2019

Tomorrow the Yoga class at 6 pm will be replaced by movement playground Gaga workshop and will be conducted by one of the most experienced Gaga dancers in the UK, who is studying in the University of Durham different ways of healing the body using that kind of movement.

Yesterday was the 100th anniversary of the birth of B.K.S Iyengar, without any doubt, he was one of the great Yogis of the past century. His revolutionary approach to Asanas, introducing props to get into the postures combined with his deep understanding of Patanjali's Ashtanga Yoga made him a great and unique Yogi! I really like him and I'm a regular practitioner of Iyengar Yoga.

Here we have one of his most beautiful quotes talking about transformation, how irrelevant is changing things in our lives if we do not really TRANSFORM ourselves throughout practice. And practice does not mean postures and more postures, it also means commitment, persistence and following different goals and habits in life in order to wake up and come out of this illusion!

In October 2018, Yoga Danda celebrated 2 years in Reading!
Since I left the Yoga Institute in Mumbai, place where I’ve started studying authentic Yoga, I’ve been teaching constantly. It all begun in India, Auroville where for the first time, for free I dared to teach Yoga. Back in Spain, I tried to set my own Yoga studio that happened to be a failure as well as a great source of experience and understanding of how not to do things. Afterward, I moved to the UK where I first started teaching Yoga at my friend’s living room surrounded by sofas, chairs and electric guitars! Later on, I decided to rent All Saint’s Church Hall in Reading and that’s the place where I teach my own style Yoga until today.
