IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

After over forty years of serving our local community, it is with great sadness that we inform you of the closure of Maiden Erlegh Preschool at the end of summer term 2025.

The decision to close the preschool was not taken lightly and all of our current families were invited to be part of the decision making process, where it was agreed that the preschool was no longer financially viable.

We would like to thank the many families that over the years have chosen us to care for their little ones and allowed us to play a part in their early years journey. We will greatly miss working with such wonderful children and we hope you can look back fondly on your child’s time with us.

We would also like to thank all of those who have served on our Parent Committee over the last forty years. Your support and dedication often long after your child had left the setting, has meant so much to us. We really couldn’t have done it without you!!

Lastly, we would like to thank our wonderful staff who have pulled together and taken on additional workloads to enable us to stay open until the end of summer term. They really are what makes the preschool a lovely place to be and we could never thank them enough for the care, love, kindness and dedication they have shown to make sure that each child has the best early years experience we can provide.

We are looking forward to a fun-packed last half term with our final cohort of children before we all depart to pastures new.

The gorgeous little girl came into our garden today. She is so tiny, we could not leave her, so we took her to a vets. Please see below. If you know someone who has lost their kitten, please share.

OFSTED say we’re GOOD!
It’s offical, we’ve finally had our first inspection since moving to our new venue and received an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ across all areas.

It’s been a wonderful half term here at preschool.
We’ve celebrated Diwali, Firework night, Remembrance Day and finished off the term with a Christmas shop and visits to our very own Santa’s Grotto. A big thank you to the wonderful staff for their hard work and dedication, the committee for all their help and support, all of our wonderful children and their families, Santa, and to those members of the public who so abundantly donated items to support our fundraising events.

Can you believe we've been at our new setting for a whole Year. It's been wonderful! Last week we held a One Year Anniversary/Grand Opening Celebration. We were joined by members of the press, along with Clive Jones from Wokingham Council, Earley Town Council Mayor, Caroline Smith, Father Stan from Our Lady of Peace and past and present committee members.

We’ve got a new home! We now meet in the community hall at Our Lady of Peace Church, 338 Wokingham Road, Earley, RG6 7DA.

We still offer 15 and 30 hour placements. However, Spaces for this year are very limited, but if you would like to book a visit, please give us a call on: 07867 565811.
