Today’s Inter-House Spelling Bee involved some seriously tricky words and a lot of determined faces.

The firsts are unbeaten with an amazing 10-0 win this week and are now in the quarter finals of the ISHC cup.

Year 4 took a trip to Earth Trust

The trip was linked to their Rivers and Romans topic

Pre-Prep netball club is showing promise

Rosehill had their House Dinner this week

We’ve loved hosting them for their parties this half term

We were blessed with good weather for our Open Day

And produced some beautiful blooms for us!

A lovely day to welcome new families to OPS. Great weather, a wonderful atmosphere and brilliant tour guides from Years 7 and 8, who did us proud.

A huge thank you to our current parents who came along to support the day and to all the families who joined us. It was a pleasure to welcome you.

The Week in Pictures (Week 4)

U13 girls victorious yet again! Winning 8-1 in the first round of the ISHC cup and 2 -1 later in the week.

Year 1 took their learning outside to the South Lawn

Year 4 were sphero-coding in their Innovation lesson

U9 boys having a successful week on the rugby pitch

Wonderful to host so many teams at home this week

Year 3 went on their first trip of the year

They were fascinated by the artefacts

And thoroughly enjoyed their time at Pitt Rivers Museum Oxford

Cake Craft Club produced these beauties for our MacMillan Coffee Morning and Bake Sale

Loads of fun was had at the Caversham House Dinner

Friday was “The World We Live In Day”. Each year group focussed on a different country. Year 1 were designing Indian rangoli art.

Year 7 made Japanese zen gardens

We think they look great!

Little Oaks made Eiffel towers in their French lesson

Boarders had a blast on their weekend trip out!

And spent some time in the Art Room making clay sculptures

This week Elston House got together for some fun at morning break

And enjoyed great food at their House Dinner

A brilliant start to the swimming season! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

Our Years 4, 5 &6 swimmers were in action today at our first gala of the year and came away with the win! 🏆

There was some fantastic swimming and plenty of team spirit. We’re so proud of them and there’s plenty to be excited about with this group under the guidance of Miss Taylor.

At OPS we aim high in sport, and days like today are a great reminder of the breadth and strength of sporting opportunities our pupils have.

A very proud day for our swimmers. ❤️💙
