⭐️ learning intent- Independence.
Managing personal needs.Children will recognise routines that support self care and hygiene.We discuss handwashing toileting blowing noses and asking for help appropriately⭐️
🟢 In the garden we used wooden planks and blocks to build an obstacle course and practice balancing.
🔵 At group time the older children played ‘Kirsty says’ and listened to the penguin song. The younger children shared show and tell.
🟠 Lots of structures being built using magnetic tiles.

⭐️ Learning Intent - Independence skills
Problem solving and confidence building children will develop confidence on trying new things independently and solving problems ⭐️
🔵 sports day practice for the older children at group time and we took turns choosing items out of the bag to sing nursery rhymes.
🟠 Outside we collected leaves to look after the insects we found.
🟢 playing spotty dog and practising our counting.

🔵Sports class we practised jumping or stepping over tall cones, kicking balls and two handed tasks for fine motor skills

⭐️ Learning intent - independence. We promote independence in early years to help with responsibility and self- confidence. ⭐️
🟠 Outside we used our gross motor skills to ride the bikes and scooters around the track.
🟢 Cutting and snipping paper with the scissors at the mark making area
🔵 At group time we discussed the importance of looking after our belongings and played a game where we removed an object and tried to guess what had been taken.

⭐️Learning intent - child safety week
Promotes Healthy Habits: Reinforces crucial well-being concepts such as safe stacking, identifying hazards, and understanding physical boundaries during play.⭐️
🔵 At group time we shared our show and tell to our friends and answered questions from the teachers and peers
🔴 Lots of playing with the playdough making cakes and different shapes using the cutters
🟢 Drawing and working together to create colourful cardboard boxes.
🟠 Outside we played hopscotch and mixed ingredients in the sensory kitchen.

⭐️Learning Intent- Supports Personal, Social, and Emotional Development (PSED): Aligns perfectly with the prime areas of the EYFS by encouraging self-awareness, responsibility, and knowing how to seek help.⭐️
🟢 At group time we played the traffic light game. Following the stop and go signs to move around.
🔴 Outside we enjoyed stacking with the tyres and hoops
🔵 Mark making in the painting area, focusing on mixing colours and spreading.

🟢At group time we split into 2 groups
School leavers started to practice for sports day and the other group read a story and had a discussion on crossing the road safely
🔵Outside play enjoyed the outside space after a morning of rain
🟠Water play filling the containers and poring out

⭐️Learning intent - Child safety week
Empowers Children: Equips little ones with basic, age-appropriate self-care skills to understand potential dangers and make safe choices without feeling overwhelmed.⭐️
🟢Sports with coach Joe where we had a camping theme, we had a 4 camping bases which we had to run between. Moving cones onto the correct fire and moving with our legs apart.
🔴At group time we did lots of show and tell to our friends
🔵 In the garden we explored the wet sandpit and dodged the rain!

⭐️Learning intent - Child Safety Week in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is vital for empowering children to manage everyday risks independently ⭐️
🟠Followed a recipe and made red playdough
🔵outside play - Played duck duck goose transferring water and making potions and playing with the peppa pig toys
🟢At group time we discussed how police ambulance and fire brigade help us and how to call the number 999 if we are in danger
🔴Enjoying our new camping roleplay area
