Behind the scenes of our LAMDA programme.

Last term we held our first showcase event, inviting parents to come and see what the children have been working on in their drama sessions. As well as a selection of gripping performances, they demonstrated some of the exercises and techniques they use in their sessions to work on their expression, enunciation and stage presence.

The confidence and focus that children develop through taking part in the sessions is amazing to see, and our specialist LAMDA teacher, Miss Rush, expertly guides them to outstanding results in their exams.

Well done to all our performers. We look forward to seeing their progress at the next event!

That feeling when your House are the Summer term winners...

Congratulations to St David's, who were victorious and collected the most points to earn themselves a well-deserved treat last month.

Being part of a House gives them a strong sense of belonging and widens their friendships across the school.

It always makes us smile to see the dedication to their House's progress throughout their time at St Edward's, and the variety of ways they contribute; through their excellent character and attitude every day and through sports and arts competitions.

Fun in the sun for our youngest learners.

They were very busy in their outdoor classroom this morning, with all sorts of activities to explore. From balancing, climbing and a quick game of football, to bubbles, imaginative play, discovering nature and even a spot of cleaning!

Our Nursery runs all year round, with our expert, friendly team supporting the children from two years upwards.

Chef Linda, we will miss you. 🫶

After ten years of keeping us all well-fed with school lunches, delicious treats and many creative themed events and celebratory feasts, our wonderful chef is retiring. A much-valued member of the St Edward's Prep community, she has given so much to our school, supporting our children with healthy eating and always encouraging them to try new things.

Getting ready for a new school year. 🎒

Our Step Up Afternoon helps all our children to feel confident about their next step at St Edward's, allowing them to spend the afternoon with their next class teacher and explore their classrooms. We were also joined by our new starters, who tackled all the new experiences with courage and settled straight in.

After an inspiring assembly from Mr Parsons, they spent the session taking part in lots of getting to know each other activities and creating welcoming displays ready for their return to school in September.

We can't wait to see them all after the summer break, ready to discover everything a new year of learning holds.

What a way to end our first week with .

The grounds were filled with laughter and excitement as the children jumped, crawled and climbed their way through the giant inflatable course. The slide at the end was a definite highlight.

They have thoroughly enjoyed their week of Under the Sea activities, getting stuck into a variety of arts and crafts and outdoor activities. We are looking forward to seeing what next week's Carnivals and Circus theme will bring!
