Our school was filled with excitement, laughter and plenty of happy faces as the children settled into their new classrooms. 🥰
It was so lovely to see the joy on everyone’s faces as friends were reunited, new friendships began and our children met their new teachers. Our teachers were just as excited to welcome everyone back and begin another fantastic year of learning, growing and making memories together. 📚💛

Year 1 had an unforgettable day at the Berkshire Aviation Museum ✈️
After learning all about pioneering aviator Amy Johnson, the children were excited to see aviation history brought to life. We explored a wide range of aircraft, discovered how planes have changed over time, and even had the chance to sit inside a few!
It was a hot day, but every single child loved the experience and showed fantastic enthusiasm throughout. A truly inspiring trip from start to finish! ✈️🌞

🌍🎨 Art Around the World 🎨🌍

What a fantastic Art Day we have had! Each year group explored art from a different part of the world, learning about influential artists, their unique styles, and the media they used to create their masterpieces.

Our young artists then created their own artist studies and inspired artworks:

🖌 Nursery – L.S. Lowry (UK)
🧵 EYFS – Kente Weaving (Africa)
🦘 Year 1 – Aboriginal Art (Australia)
🌸 Year 2 – Rangoli Patterns (India)
❤️ Year 3 – Keith Haring (USA)
🔴 Year 4 – Yayoi Kusama (Japan)
🌺 Year 5 – Frida Kahlo (Mexico)
✂️ Year 6 – Henri Matisse (France)

The creativity, enthusiasm and talent on display have been incredible, and we are so proud of all our pupils’ hard work.

We look forward to sharing their amazing artwork with families at our Art Exhibition next Friday after school. We hope to see you there! 🎨✨

🌿 Forest School Fun 🌿

We have had a wonderful time exploring the outdoors during Forest School this term so far. Children have worked together to build dens using natural materials, developing teamwork, problem-solving skills and creativity.

The children also learnt the style of Hapa Zome, creating beautiful nature prints by using hammers to transfer the colours and patterns from leaves and flowers onto fabric and paper.

🎤✨ Poetry Jam Success! ✨🎤
A huge well done to all of the children who took part in our Poetry Jam! After learning and practising their favourite poems, they bravely stepped onto the stage and performed in front of the whole school during assembly.
From powerful performances to expressive storytelling, our young poets showcased incredible confidence, creativity and talent. We are so proud of each and every one of them for sharing their voices and bringing poetry to life!

💧🌍 Eco Day 2026 🌍💧
Last Thursday, our school celebrated Eco Day with a focus on the importance of water and how we can all help to save this precious resource.
Year 1 got creative by transforming recycled plastic bottles into colourful fish, showing how everyday items can be reused in fun and imaginative ways. 🐠♻️
Through hands-on activities and thoughtful discussions, the children explored ways to care for our planet and make a positive difference for the future.
Well done, Year 1, for your fantastic creativity and enthusiasm! 💙
Keep your eyes peeled for what other year groups got up to!!
