ActNow - The Pure Air Pledge

People asked: Who funds ActNow/The Pure Air Pledge? The work has been funded through a small grant by the TAPAS (Tackling Air Pollution At School) Network (https://tapasnetwork.co.uk). TAPAS is funded by the Strategic Priorities Fund on Clean Air, which in turn is funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) which is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the UK’s Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. This funding has allowed us to bring in experts in educational communications from BeeDigital to help prepare the ActNow pack and spread the word.

People have asked: What does pledging commit me or my school to?
Pledging simply says that you want to improve air quality for your school community. It provides access to the ActNow pack, which guides you through various ‘low-input’ actions (ones that should not require large time inputs and have low or zero cost) that we hope can be put in place quickly and benefit your school. It is not a complete solution to improving air quality but using the pack will put you in a better position to take further, targeted action if you consider it necessary. We won’t be knocking at your door with a checklist to see how you are doing, and we won’t be coming round trying to sell you anything.
