Meet Helen: Director of Sixth Form

Get to know Helen as we ask her 10 'favourite things' questions!

Helen has 25 years of teaching experience in a number of different schools: all girls, all boys, independent, state, day and boarding and even a free school. She gained an undergraduate degree in Zoology and Botany from the University of Reading before completing a PGCSE at Oxford University. She spent five years as Head of Biology at Leighton Park before an becoming our Director of Sixth Form.

Max (Upper Sixth) joined us in Year 7 and is now going on to study music at Oxford University, which is a phenomenal achievement! During his time here at Leighton Park he took part in many of the opportunities available and felt supported by staff in the lead up to applying to Oxford. Year 8 traveled to Dorset for their residential during Activities Week 2026! When they weren’t relaxing on the campsite, many an outdoor adventure was enjoyed with paddleboarding, archery, a mud trial, and a day on the iconic Dorset coastline.
