A sunny start with the first KS2 Festival of Sport of the year! We hosted 8 local schools on our Astro to play football this morning, with our sport students refereeing each match ⚽

Opportunities like this are always great fun for all involved, especially for our students who get a chance to develop valuable skills in mentoring and leadership. Alongside this it’s an excellent chance to become more involved with the local community.

🎵 Happy International Music Day! 🥁

Earlier this week, Year 5 pupils from Caversham Primary and Emmer Green Primary each joined us at Leighton Park for Music UNLOCKED.

From STOMP-style body percussion to samba drumming, students worked together to create rhythms, explore new sounds and, most importantly, have fun! We loved seeing them unlock their creativity, build confidence and discover a love of music.

🎭 Two plays in one day!

Our GCSE and A Level Drama students enjoyed a theatre marathon in London yesterday, seeing two very different productions: The Children at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith, followed by Stranger Things: The First Shadow in the West End.

From nuanced acting and character relationships to spectacular set, lighting, sound and special effects, it was a fantastic opportunity to experience professional theatre first-hand and gather plenty of inspiration for their studies.
