We're delighted to announce that The Berkshire Young Musician of the Year competition is back for 2027 – and this year, we're inviting talented woodwind and brass players to take part!

Run in partnership with Windsor Festival and Bradfield College, this prestigious competition offers young musicians a wonderful opportunity to showcase their talent and win prizes alongside others of a similar age.

The competition will take place across three stages, culminating in a live final at The Old Court, Windsor on Sunday 21 March 2027.

That's a wrap on BYSO, BYWO and BYC's tour of Germany! 🇩🇪🎶

Here are a few highlights from the group's final full day, including a morning in Bonn, where they visited Beethoven's House before exploring the town. The day ended with a fantastic concert in Manderscheid, where all three groups gave outstanding performances.

Everyone arrived safely back at Reading Music Centre on Saturday and is now enjoying a well-earned rest after an unforgettable tour.

A huge thank you to all of our staff for making this tour so special. It's been an incredible experience and a tour to remember for everyone involved. 🙌
