I graduated from Reading University's Primary PGCE programme (top of my class!) in 2012 and have happily taught 5-11 year old's in a local, Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' school ever since. In my spare time, usually after school hours, during the weekend and school holidays, I also offer both online and 'face to face' tutoring sessions. As you can see, I like to keep myself busy... this is because I love my job - working with children is both entertaining and deeply satisfying, especially when you see them conquer an area of learning which has proven previously difficult for them! My aim is to provide high quality, engaging teaching, with a smile, helping to 'fill the gaps' in your child's learning. I cover a broad range of subject areas, most notably all areas of primary Mathematics and English curriculums, including Times Tables, Arithmetic, Reasoning, Reading (decoding and comprehension), Spelling and Grammar. I also provide tuition for children wishing to take 11+ exams (CEM and GL) with great results! I always seek to ensure my teaching sessions are cheerful, fun and relaxed. This is at the very core of my teaching approach because children who are having a good time when battling their areas of challenge will want to keep trying! Ultimately, this results in the best progress possible being made... and success!
