Well done Thivyan 🎹🎓
After many years of learning with us, we’re saying a very fond farewell to Thivyan as he heads off to university!
Thivyan first started learning piano with us through home lessons before eventually making the move to studio lessons. His lessons were later taken over by our other piano teacher, Justin, who has continued to support him with his learning.
Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of watching Thivyan grow not only as a pianist, but as a person. He’s a genuinely lovely, bright and polite young man, and it’s been fantastic to see his confidence develop year after year.
He has also been a familiar face at every one of our concerts since the very first concert we held back in 2023! 🎶 From those early performances to seeing him become a much more confident performer, it’s been brilliant to watch his stage presence and performance skills grow alongside his playing.
Thivyan is now finishing up his Grade 6 piano, which is a fantastic achievement and something he should be really proud of. 👏🎹
To celebrate, here’s a little clip of Thivyan performing “He’s a Pirate” from Pirates of the Caribbean — one of those pieces that really shows how far he’s come!
We’re incredibly proud of everything he’s achieved and wish him the very best of luck as he starts this exciting new chapter at university. We’re sure there are lots more great things ahead for him!

You'll be teaching wonderful students in our friendly Yamaha Music School, with opportunities for additional lessons, workshops and future Yamaha group teaching.

🎼 Has experience preparing students for graded exams
