On Friday I welcomed 4 new mums & babies ,along with 1 grandma & 2 returning mamas with their 2nd babies to our new baby massage course. One more family will join us next week ☺️

The babies in this group are a lovely range of ages - it really does vary from course to course.

After getting to know each other a bit and learning about some ‘top tips’ for Baby Massage, the families were shown how to massage their baby’s feet and legs.

The feet & legs are always the best part of the body to start with, as babies are usually used to their feet and legs being handled lots during nappy changes, getting dressed & bathtime.
Anyone who loves a foot massage themselves will know how relaxed it can make their whole body feel - we certainly had some very relaxed and sleepy babies afterwards.

The babies had their naps, feeds, cuddles & nappy changes whenever they needed throughout the class, its all very relaxed.

As it was the first week, the babies made some ‘ My first week at Baby Massage class’ butterflies which came out beautifully. By the end of the course, the families will have made 5 special keepsakes ❤️

As the sessions are 1.5 hours long, there is always plenty of time to enjoy a chat with the other families and have a drink and a sweet treat.

I’m looking forward to this Friday where we will learn the massage strokes for the tummy, as well as a separate routine that can help with tummy discomfort such as colicky type pains & constipation ❤️

🏖️ Our final session of the June -July baby massage course was a special one.
Everybody was able to make it too which was fab!

These little ones have changed so much since week one; so much more chatty ( the cutest happy sounds), much more mobile, even squishier cheeks & thighs & absolutely loving spending that precious 1:1 time with their parents.
Its also been really lovely to see the babies enjoying & engaging with each other.

It's been a real joy sharing the gift of infant massage with you all - I'm looking forward to seeing those of you who are able to join me at Cuppa Club ( my baby massage follow on group in September).

I currently have just one space left on my September to October course - please comment below or send me a message if you would like the details of this ❤️

☀️ W e e k 3 ☀️

It was great to have a full house for last weeks' session.

We recapped most of the strokes from the previous sessions, then learnt the chest & arm massage strokes.
It really varies from week to week how much massage you will actually do with your baby in the session as it is completely baby led and we just go with how the babies are feeling at that time.
As it is a learning environment, you can then practice the strokes at home whenever your baby is in that perfect calm & alert state.

It was so lovely to see such beautiful connections between the parents and their babies, as well as some very cute sounds being made - these little ones are changing so quickly week by week.

After the babies had been massaged, their parents helped them make a gorgeous beach themed keepsake and took some adorable photos on the beach themed photo mat.
Its really special to be able capture these moments & milestones as the babies change and grow so quickly.

We still have 2 more wonderful sessions left before we complete the course - the weeks are flying by way too quickly!
For our fourth session, we will learn the massage strokes for the face & back.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all on Friday ❤️

☀️ On Friday ( before the heatwave started) it was Week 2 of our Baby Massage course at Englefield Village Hall.
We were able to have the french doors open & it was definitely ice cream & cold drink weather!

☀️ After having a catch up and sharing our wins from the week, the parents gave their babies a relaxing foot and leg massage as well as learning how to massage the tummy.
We also went through a separate massage routine which can be really helpful for some babies in easing the discomfort caused by trapped wind, constipation and colicky type pains. It’s always helpful as parents to have some new gentle techniques to help soothe our little ones.

The babies seemed to be really enjoying their massages & as always, it was absolutely fine to have a break for a snooze, cuddle, feed or nappy change. Everyone was awake and mostly being massaged at the same time today, which is actually quite unusual.
There were some absolutely beautiful happy vocalisations being made throughout the massage part of the session, it was so adorable ❤️

We then had our usual catch up time with ice creams & cold drinks.

The parents then made some adorable Father's Day keepsakes with their little ones ( see previous post) and took some photos on our dino themed mat.
By the end of the session, we had some very sleepy looking / snoozing babies.

We are rescheduling this Fridays' session. Keeping you & your babies safe is, as always my priority ❤️

On Friday I welcomed 5 new mums & babies ,along with 1 grandma & 2 returning mamas with their 2nd & 3rd babies to our new baby massage course. Another new mum & her little one will join us on Friday ☺️

The babies in this group range from a teeny 9 weeks to 7 months , so a lovely wide range of ages - it really does vary from course to course.

After getting to know each other a bit and learning about some ‘top tips’ for Baby Massage, the families were shown how to massage their baby’s feet and legs.
