It’s that time of year again when The Abbey Junior School hosts its annual Fun Run, and Knell House was not to be outdone! Instead, we held our very own Early Years Fun Run in our beautiful big garden.

With the emphasis on fun, our nursery students came together in their houses to support one another and cheer on friends from across the other houses too.

They chose how many laps they wanted to run, all at their own pace, before proudly receiving their medals at the finish line. As Layan said, “It’s not about winning, but about having fun!” From these photos, it’s clear that a wonderful time was had by all.

Our work incredibly hard at school, so during half-term they were treated to a very special spa day!

They never need much of an excuse to wear pyjamas to Nursery, and after such a busy few weeks,they were ready for some well deserved calm time.

They visited 'Knell Spa', where they relaxed to tranquil music while enjoying a little pampering. From cool cucumber slices to soothe their eyes, to browsing magazines to unwind their minds, and even making their own bath salts to calm the senses, it was a wonderfully serene and relaxing day for everyone.

Each session will have its own theme and the Nursery is exclusively open to our visiting families to have a play with the toys, take part in a crafty session, explore the large outdoor garden and so much more! You can connect with new families and try our famous Abbey shortbread!

The Admissions team will be on hand to answer any questions you have and you will get to meet some of our Nursery team and find out why Little Knellies is different and what opportunities we can offer for your daughter.

It was Lunar New Year during the half-term break, so today our Early Years children celebrated it together!

Some dressed for the occasion in beautiful traditional Chinese dresses, and there were lots of exciting activities throughout the day.

Our Little Knellies and Reception students created their own noodle dishes using arts and crafts (and plenty of glitter!), and they even enjoyed traditional Chinese dancing with a dragon.

This is how our youngest students at celebrated Pancake Day yesterday, they were busy little chefs!

From mixing and pouring to flipping, the students had so much fun making their very own tasty treats.

They explored textures, practised counting while measuring ingredients, and most importantly… enjoyed eating their delicious pancakes!
