Juggling a new job, continuing professional development and life as a Mum. Still working on gaining my Assessment Practice Certificate. An APC means that any of my diagnostic reports can be used as supporting evidence for DSA claims in the future. Without it, my reports are still valid diagnoses. I usually assess younger learners and some may choose to be reassessed when they are older as needs can change over time (but a Dyslexia diagnosis is for life).

I am a level 7 qualified assessor of Dyslexia and literacy difficulties.
I work as a Sendco in an independent Prep school and I currently assess pupils who are pre-16.
As I leave my current job after a decade, I will have the opportunity to focus on more SpLD assessments. I took time out to complete my MEd (SEND) and aim to regain my APC in the next few months. The plan is to start assessing again in October 2025 but please get in touch in the meantime.
