The Oaks Childcare Clubs CIC (not for profit) offers wraparound care at local schools in Mortimer, Aldermaston & Tadley and Mini Oaks preschool in Burghfield.

This is a public page to keep you up to date on news & activities in our clubs. Our school clubs cater for 4-11 year olds, and our preschool cares for 2-5 year olds. We offer a fun, relaxed environment for children to play, learn and enjoy time with their friends.

At Breakfast club you can drop off your child from 7.30am and we provide a healthy breakfast which includes cereals, a daily choice of toast, crumpets, croissants, brioche, fruit, yoghurt & cheese. At After School Club we offer a healthy snack mid way through the session. We encourage outdoor play as much as possible and we always have colouring and crafts on the go. Each club is run by a Playleader and a team of Playworkers who all really enjoy engaging with the children and getting to know them and helping to make their time with us as fun and enjoyable as possible. We accept childcare vouchers, offer funded places in line with government schemes, and sibling and full-time discounts are available.

*Mini Oaks Preschool*

Burghfield St Mary's Parish Church: Mini Oaks Preschool (8.30am-4.00pm)

Our Mini Oaks preschool is based at The Parish Centre, Burghfield St Mary’s Church. We offer excellent play and learning in a safe and caring environment for children from when they are 2 until when they go to school. Mini Oaks is run by a highly qualified and caring team from The Oaks Childcare, experienced in child-led play and Early Years Education. Your child will enjoy Forest School sessions, learning to grow fruit and vegetables at our local allotment, and many other indoor and outdoor activities while they are with us. Morning, afternoon, or full-day sessions are available between 8.30am and 4.00pm each weekday during term-time. We accept childcare vouchers, offer funded places in line with government schemes, and sibling and full-time discounts are available.

Welcome back to the summer term!
Little Oaks were very excited to see the funfair and circus pop up and created their own tickets. 🎟️

🌳We are back with our Mini Oaks team and the children enjoyed the story “The Rainbow Fish”, and all of the exciting activities linking to it.

🌳The Oaks team were delighted to run a stall at Dinton Pastures spring Fayre with fun, free activities and balloons for local families. It was wonderful to see new and familiar faces.

We have been enjoying different ways of painting at Big Oaks from blossom trees to planet Earth printing- ready to celebrate Earth Day tomorrow by using environmentally friendly and reusable materials. 🌍
The children created wonderful patterns and designs. 🌳

🤩 Here is our lovely Lucy, volunteering her Saturday afternoon to support the annual Mortimer litter pick. She’s doing the Oaks proud and spreading our love for community! She has already collected a whole bag full of rubbish! A huge thank you to Lucy and everyone involved 💜☀️💚
