What a week in Aberdeen!

Spent 5 fantastic days handbell ringing and making music with nearly 700 ringers from all over. 🎶

Reconnecting with old friends and making new ones made it so special—and I’m feeling chuffed to have learned more about Scottish culture along the way.

Goodbye, Scotland! ❤️

The life of a modern organist!

Adapted my role for a wedding ceremony last Saturday to give the couple the best of both worlds:
🎶 Prelude songs via Spotify
🎶Processional music via Spotify
🎹 3 hymns live on the organ
🎶Recessional music via Spotify

❤️Love finding creative ways to blend tradition with technology!

Football might be taking over the country tonight, but singing an American Mass in this breathtaking abbey was unmatched. Thank you our conductor, Daniel Mahoney, for programming Randall Thompson’s Alleluia—it brought me right back to my UChoir days. Absolutely amazing ❤️

What a magical afternoon!

Last Saturday, Stella and I hosted our student recital, and it was an absolute joy from start to finish. Watching our pupils step up to perform—including some very brave students making their debut performance—was truly special. Seeing how much they have grown as young musicians fills my heart with so much pride!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who attended, we raised £550 for HK Well UK! 💖 Thank you Crafting Smiles for offering handmade gifts for students and donors. Thank you all parents for supporting us. 🎶

🎶 Only 4 days to go! 🎶
We are so excited to welcome you to our upcoming student recital this Saturday! Our wonderful students have been working incredibly hard, and we can’t wait to showcase their musical talents.

Admission is completely free, and everyone is welcome!
Same as previous years, we are very proud to be collecting donations to support HK Well UK, an amazing charity that supports the mental health and well-being of Hong Kong youth here in the UK. Any contribution you can make would mean the world to us and to them. 💛

Take a look at our concert posters below for all the details. We can’t wait to see you there for a beautiful afternoon of music!

The gentle and elegant sound of oboe and cor anglais made the concert amazingly peaceful and beautiful.

Luckily we didn’t have to sing in the dark as the electricity came back before the concert started.

It’s an enjoyable concert singing with Reading Bach Choir last Sat. We were singing music by English composers. One of my favourite is Standford’s The Blue Bird.

What a wonderful music night 🎶

Last night’s piano recital by Eric Lu was simply beautiful—his interpretation of Frédéric Chopin felt intimate and full of colour. A special musical experience.
