Happy Days Nursery Established for over 35 years, we are a family run full day childcare facility for children from ages 9 months to 5yrs inclusive.

Our nursery is a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment in which learning is actively encouraged through play. We aim to provide variety of first hand experiences which allow children to build on their natural curiosity as learners, develop language skills, use their imagination and develop social relationships. We encourage the building of positive relationships with parents’ right from the offset to support children’s emotional well-being and work within a framework which ensures equality of opportunity for all, aiming to meet children’s individual needs. Our nursery is purposed built building, all on one level, with adjacent parking. The building consists of three playrooms which are spacious, bright, airy, well equipped and resourced. We also have child size toilets and disabled access to all areas. Within the playroom there are different areas in which the children can freely access; book corner, art area, home corner, sensory tent, movement area etc. The nursery is proud of its extremely large outdoor play area, which boasts a grassed area, a small woodland area, a hard safety surface section for ride-on toys, log cabin, tunnel, sandpit and a vegetable garden. Additional outside equipment is set out each day by the staff.

Welcome to the launch of our Starting Reception Campaign! If you, or anyone you know, has a child starting Reception Class in September, we will be sharing a range of top tips to help you to support your child with a smooth transition.
The campaign will be running until mid-September and will include daily posts at 7pm with various videos and links. 🌍🦁 Happy 100th Birthday, Sir David Attenborough! 🌿🐒

We have been very busy at nursery this week celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s very special birthday and everything he has done to help us understand and care for the natural world around us. 💚

The children enjoyed a week full of exciting, nature-inspired activities! 🌼🐾 They had the opportunity to meet lots of amazing animals (a huge thank you to Animal Workshops Mobile Zoo 🐍🐇), planted in our allotment 🌱, created birthday cards and collages 🎨, sang animal-themed nursery rhymes 🎶, baked delicious animal-shaped biscuits 🍪, and took part in many other activities celebrating wildlife and nature. 🦋🌳

It has been a wonderful week of learning, exploring, and appreciating the world we live in — just as Sir David has encouraged generations to do. 🌎✨
