Downhall Under Fives Pre-school Our pre-school offers education and care for children between 2 years and school age. The address is Ferndale Open Space, Ferndale Road, SS6 9NN.

Downhall Under Fives is a registered charity pre-school which has been running for more than 22 years. The pre-school is in Rayleigh, and we are really lucky to be located on Green Belt land. We are members of the Pre-School Learning Alliance and are OFSTED registered. The Sessions we provide are:

5 mornings: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 9.15 - 12.15

5 lunch clubs: Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday between 12.15 -1.00

5 afternoons: Monday, Tuesday,Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 1.00 -4.00

Well done and thank you to all those who participated in our sponsored photo challenge. The children have loved sharing all their wonderful photos with their friends and looking at them up on our wall display. They loved receiving their participation medals and certificates too! A week of role play this week, and it was lovely to see the children’s using their imagination and hear their creative narratives and storytelling! They enjoyed visiting Costa and McDonalds, washing the baby clothes and hanging them to dry in the garden, making pizzas in the home corner, putting on puppet shows for their friends and they even built a rocket!

What a wonderful experience having our Duck eggs hatch and watch these beautiful little ducklings emerge and grow. The children have absolutely loved meeting them, talking about them, making pictures of them and showing them off to their parents, grandparents and siblings. We hope you all enjoyed it too 🦆 🐥
