A huge welcome to all the new parents and families who have recently started following our page! 👋 We’re so pleased to have you here and are really looking forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our wonderful school community. We hope you’ll get involved, say hello and join us at some of the events we have coming up!

To everyone else… Where have the summer holidays gone?! 😱 They’ve absolutely flown by! I can’t believe we’re back to school this Wednesday!

As everyone starts getting organised for the new school year, sorting uniforms, planning activities and getting back into the usual routines, we thought it was the perfect time to share our EFPA Community Businesses Flipbook again!

As I’m sitting here ordering my own, I thought it would be a good time to remind everyone about our partnerships with My Nametags and Stikins! 🏷️💙

With the new school year just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to get those name labels ordered and ready for September.

Well… that was emotional. ❤️

Today I had the privilege of attending the Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly, and what a beautiful way to celebrate such a wonderful group of children. Every song was performed with such heart, and there certainly wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

It’s easy to forget that this year group began their school journey during some of the most challenging years imaginable. Their first years at primary school were disrupted by the COVID pandemic, with missed milestones, remote learning and time away from friends and teachers. Yet look at them now!

They’ve grown into confident, kind, resilient young people who have embraced every opportunity with huge smiles and unwavering determination. If ever there was proof of resilience, this year group is it.

Seeing the teachers so visibly emotional said everything. It speaks volumes about the relationships they’ve built, the care they’ve given, and just how much these children have meant to them over the years. It was a reminder that school isn’t just about lessons; it’s about belonging, growing and becoming the very best version of yourself.

This Year 6 group truly embodies everything Edward Francis stands for: Positivity, Respect, Effort, Partnership, Aspiration, Resilience and Enjoyment. And what a year of enjoyment they’ve had! From productions and trips to discos, apprentice day, sports, fundraising events and so many memories in between, they’ve embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and spirit.

To all of our Year 6 leavers, thank you for being such an incredible part of the Edward Francis family. Seven years ago you arrived with oversized jumpers and nervous smiles. Today you leave as confident, kind, thoughtful and ambitious young people, ready to take on your next adventure. We couldn’t be prouder.

A huge thank you to every member of staff who has guided, encouraged, challenged and believed in these children along the way. The care, dedication and love you’ve poured into them has prepared them not just for secondary school, but for whatever life throws at them.

And to all of the parents and families who also leave Edward Francis today… thank you. ❤️ Thank you for every raffle ticket you bought, every event you attended, every prize you donated, every volunteer hour you gave, every kind word of encouragement and every bit of support you’ve shown the EFPA over the years. Your generosity, time and commitment haven’t just enriched your own child’s school journey, they’ve created opportunities, memories and experiences for their friends and for countless children who will walk through the Edward Francis gates in years to come. That legacy is something really special, and we are so incredibly grateful. This one’s for you too. 👏

Here’s to the very best school, the very best staff and the wonderful Year 6 that leaves us today. ❤️

As we reach the end of another fantastic school year, we just wanted to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to every single one of you. 💙

Whether you’ve attended an event, bought a raffle ticket, volunteered your time, donated prizes, shared our posts, or simply supported us along the way – you’ve helped make an incredible difference.

Because of your generosity and support, we’re so proud to have reinvested over £20,000 back into our school this year, helping to enrich our children’s experiences in so many ways. From AI kits and classroom rugs to swimming, workshops, Easter treats and Year 6 keepsakes, every penny raised goes straight back to benefiting our children.

None of this would be possible without our amazing school community, our wonderful volunteers who give up so much of their own time, and the fantastic staff who support us every step of the way.

We hope you’re as proud as we are of everything we’ve achieved together this year.

Thank you for making Edward Francis such a special place to be. Wishing all of our families a wonderful, well-deserved summer break, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year! ☀️💙

💦☀️ Kick off the summer holidays with a splash! ☀️💦

We’ve been given the go ahead to open the school pool for the first two days of the holidays! It’s the perfect way for the children to celebrate the end of term, cool off and have some fun with their friends.

🎭 Panto at the Towngate - Aladdin

Our Aladdin Pantomime tickets are selling well, but we still have a handful remaining! We were lucky enough to secure some fantastic seats for the opening night at the Towngate Theatre on 26 November 2026, and once they're gone, they're gone!

If previous years are to go by, we are in for a very funny night!
