A little while ago we did our first business fair 😅

I genuinely didn't know what to expect. What I didn't expect was how many conversations came back round to somebody's child — a son who won't go back to school, a daughter waiting eighteen months for an assessment, a friend’s child who's brilliant but doesn't learn the way the classroom wants him to.
That's why The Learning Lab exists. Learning looks different for every child, and we build around the child rather than asking the child to bend.

Thanks to Rossendale Means Business for having us — and to everyone who stopped, chatted and shared something personal. It meant a lot.

📚✨ KS2 Home Education Group Sessions — starting September!
You asked for more groups. From September, we're delivering them! 🎉

Four new weekly sessions for home educating families with younger children:

🔢 Maths — Mondays, 11:45 - 12:45 (KS2)
Differentiated maths skills for years 3 - 6.

💬 Social Group - Wednesdays, 10:45 - 12:15 (EYFS & KS1)
Games, activities, craft and FUN!

✏️ English Skills — Wednesdays, 14:00–15:00 (KS2)
Differentiated, imaginative writing sessions for younger learners.

🌍 Topic — Thursdays, 09:30–10:30 (KS2)
Cross-curricular topic based classes, great for creative and imaginative learners.

Every session is small-group and inclusive by design. Neurodivergent children and children with SEND are warmly welcome — activities are differentiated, and taking part can look different for every child. Watching from the edge counts too. 💛

Places are limited, and we're gathering numbers now so we can get the groups right.

Five new weekly sessions for home educating families with younger children:

📖 Story & Craft — Mondays, 10:30–11:30 (EYFS & KS1)
Themed stories with linked crafts and activities.

✏️ Writing Skills — Mondays, 14:00–15:00 (EYFS & KS1)
Differentiated, imaginative writing sessions for younger learners.

Basic and foundation maths skills.

A little round up of last weeks holiday club ☀️🤩

We have had such a great time and we are so grateful to each and every family that put their trust in us over the last couple of weeks.

At The Learning Lab we truly care about providing excellent inclusive provision that suits the needs of individuals rather than a one size fits all approach. Our groups are purposely small with a high adult to child ratio, meaning we can allocate time and attention to all that need it.

We have been complimented on the staff (I’m biased but we have an AMAZING team), the attention to detail and the low pressure, calm environment that has had children wanting to come again and again, despite not usually enjoying holiday clubs.

Plans are already in motion for the next holiday club and we promise to provide great opportunities each time.

We have been quiet on our social media pages this week, but we have been busy in every other way!

Our first holiday club has been a huge success and we are already thinking about what we can do for our next one. It's been great to meet so many new families and also see people return for multiple sessions.

We have announcements coming soon about our extended daytime timetable with new sessions opening up, including new home education group sessions.

We are half way through our first week of Holiday Club and having a ball!

Cheerleading, Circus Skills, the world’s hardest jigsaw puzzle and even a visit from a deer 🦌 this morning 🤩.

We hope everyone is enjoying their summer holidays and we look forward to seeing everyone who is booked onto our upcoming sessions.

🌟 Our primary HAF sessions are now FULL! 🌟

Wow! We have been blown away by the response to our Summer HAF Holiday Club, and we're delighted to share that all of our primary sessions are now fully booked. 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who has booked with us – we can't wait to welcome you for two weeks of fun, movement and making new friends! ☀️

If you have a secondary-aged young person, we still have a few spaces remaining on the following sessions:

🩷 Tuesday 4th August – Pom Dance

🏅 Thursday 6th August – Mini Olympics
4 spaces remaining

💪 Friday 7th August – Fitness Fun
Just 1 space remaining

These sessions are designed to be inclusive, engaging and supportive, with plenty of opportunities to build confidence, stay active and have fun in a welcoming environment.

If you'd like to secure one of our remaining places, we'd recommend booking soon as they're expected to fill quickly!
