Accrington 5km on Thursday.

7pm start, 2 loops around Altham ind est up a monster hill to the finish line

Got soaked and was bursting for a wee all the way round but we finished at a 26:05

Was hoping for a PB on my 5km time but I definitely lost time on the hill but its all good

Weekly dump

Another busy one last week. Classes, training and a system migration at work that caused some unpredictable chaos 😅

Thursdays session i felt rough after it, put it down to the heat but my monthly cycle arrived the next day which definitely explained it 😝

My first track session in a while. We did a simple interval session

500m warm up run @ conversational pace
90 secs rest into:
1.6km run @ 5:25 pace
120sec walking rest. Into:
2x 800m run @ 5:15, 90s rest into:
2x 400m run @ 5:00, 60s rest
500m cool down jog

Now runna gets me all confused. When im hitting paces it sometimes tells me pace too high or pace too slow. As you can see on 3rd photo, my pace was within range but sometimes it tells me I wasnt in range. Why is this?

Does it detect that im speeding up or slowing down? When I have done longer runs 1 sec it tells me pace too high then immediately after tells me im in range. Its annoying as it makes me check my watch rather than just focusing on enjoying the run

A busy week Classes, training and a hella lot of admin ready for our new system migration this coming week.

Not done a food post in a while. My food prep looks pretty bland to the rest of the stuff you see posted on insta but regardless of aesthetics it all does the same job.

Firstly, you dont need to create these amazing meals to hit your goals, simplicity is best, its easier, less time consuming and easier to manage.

This afternoon I made my brekki and lunch for the next 2 days in work. Wednesdays i tend to have leftovers from our meal mon/Tues

Thursday is my longest busiest day so I try and carry extra food and have a big lunch. I only have a small tea when I get home.

Pic 1 - tuna and sweetcorn pasta salad with garlic croutons and a sprinkle of salad topper (thurs lunch)

Pic 2 - cajun chicken, greens and some med veg and potato (fri lunch)

Pic 3 - strawberry, blueberry vanilla overnight oats (thurs brekki)

Pic 4 - blueberry and banana overnight oats (fri brekki)

Pic 5 - same as 3 & 4

Pic 6 - snacks for both days. Here i have a portion of grapes, 2 hard boiled eggs, a banana and some salted pretzels (banana and pretzels for thurs, grapes and eggs for fri)
