✨ Week four of the Summer Holidays ✨
🌿🌸 Outdoor learning week 🌸🌿

This week has been a little difficult due to the weather being extremely hot ☀️ but we have made the most of our outdoor learning week regardless.

The children have been involved in: challenging themselves with our obstacle course, exploring the allotment, creating woodland frames, chalk painting and experimenting with magical mixing using different scents and natural materials.

✨ Week three of the Summer Holidays ✨
🎨 Creative week 🎨

This week the children have been challenging their artistic skills with a range of different activities, allowing them to express themselves in a variety of ways.
They have been: creating their own handprint flowers, sketching with ice cube paint, painting on a large scale medium with sponges and water (splatting and mixing with the coloured paint), fashioning their own jellyfish and exploring glueing and sticking with the collage materials and junk modelling.
Some of the older children have also been independently forming their own books too, paying such attention to each small detail and mark they have formed.

✨ Week two of the Summer Holidays ✨
🍪🧁🍕🍎🍌 Baking and food week 🍌🍎🍕🧁🍪

This week the children have been involved in lots of activities around baking and food.
They have been exploring the flour, making marks using their hands and a range of paintbrushes to observe the effects they can create.
They have also been testing their culinary skills, baking foods such as biscuits, fruit buns, pizza and fruit kebabs.

💃🤸🧘 Music and Movement 🧘🤸💃

This week the children have been moving and exercising their bodies in different ways, building on their physical development, enhancing both their gross and fine motor control. They have been involved in dancing using scarves, Lycra and parachute games, cosmic yoga and also dough gym.

We are so proud of Mrs Ashton who's feet landed safely on the ground on Saturday after her skydive.

✨💙 Mrs Ashton’s Skydive 💙✨

One more day until Mrs Ashton bravely takes on the charity skydive, raising funds for our brand new defibrillator.
Thank you to all who have donated and contributed towards this brilliant cause. We are still taking donations if anyone wants to get involved.
We couldn’t be prouder of Mrs Ashton and are so grateful that she is doing such a courageous leap for our nursery. 💙✨
