This pic just came up on my memories this morning.
13 years ago today, I was working with a group of adult actors on a play they were due to perform at a theatre.
As well as our classes for kids and teens, I am so excited to be offering adult acting classes again.

🎭 TOMORROW IS A BIG DAY FOR THE SCENE...

Tomorrow our young performers will be sharing The Squad with their families after weeks of creating, rehearsing and building the story together.

This is exactly why The Scene Youth Theatre exists.

A place where young people can:

Every project at The Scene is original — giving young people the chance to be more than just performers. They become part of the story.

This July, The Scene is becoming a film studio. 🎬👽

Our young people will be creating UNIDENTIFIED, an original sci-fi mystery film developed from scratch.

From character creation and storytelling to performance and filming, students will be involved in every stage of the creative process.

One of the things I love most about The Scene is that we don’t just perform stories – we create them.

I can’t wait to see where this project takes us.

This morning the script books to our new play THE SQUAD arrived.
What’s so funny about this moment today is that I picked up an old notepad and found scribbles of where I first started to plot the idea for the play over a year ago. Then today’s Facebook memory from a year ago was me saying I’d written the first couple of scenes to trial in a drama class I was teaching.
And now we have a finished, printed script and an incredible cast to bring it to life 💕

I love the process of creating theatre so much 🤩
