🐞 Welcome Back Everyone! 🐞

We are so excited to have all our friends back after the half-term break!

This week we are beginning our exciting mini beast adventure and will be exploring all things creepy, crawly throughout the half term. The children have been busy investigating mini beasts in our sawdust tuff tray using magnifying glasses, just like real bug hunters! 🔍🐜

To help strengthen our little fingers, we are threading mini beasts at the writing table and developing our maths skills by playing fun insect matching games. 🐞🕷️

Our sand tray has been transformed into a pirate treasure adventure this week, where children can dig for hidden treasure and enjoy imaginative pirate play. 🏴‍☠️💎

We can't wait for another fun-filled week of learning, exploring, and discovering together 🫶🏼

This week we are continuing our spring fun, even with the rainy weather! ☔🌸

We have made a few exciting changes to our room. Our carpet area is now a big construction space and our busy table is full of messy play activities including jelly, cornflour and water, shaving foam and coloured sand!

Our ice cream shop is staying open for another week as the children loved it so much! 🍦

We also have:
🌿 Nature bingo for matching and memory games
✂️ Natural materials for cutting and mark making
🌸 Flower printing with paint and toilet rolls in the tuff tray

Our ducks are settling so well into their new home and are growing bigger every day! 🐥 They are becoming more adventurous, enjoying exploring their surroundings, and the children have loved watching them grow and develop. It has been such a lovely learning experience for everyone and we can’t wait to see how much they continue to change! 💛

We are still celebrating our spring theme this week by bringing lots of nature inside.

Our writing table has fresh flowers on for the children to practise drawing and our creative table is painting stones.

Our messy table is for growing cress this week and our home corner is an ice cream parlour. We even have ice cream cones in the sand pit.

At preschool, we learn through play every day! From building and creating to exploring outdoors and imaginative role play, children develop confidence, communication, problem-solving and social skills while having fun. 🌈✨

💚🐸 We’ve loved watching our tadpoles grow and change over the past few weeks, and the children have been so excited to observe each stage of their journey. We are now starting to see some of our tadpoles turning into tiny froglets, which has been a wonderful learning experience for everyone!

The children have enjoyed talking about life cycles, caring for living things, and noticing all the changes happening each day. We will continue to observe them carefully before they are ready to be returned to their natural habitat 🐸 💚

We are loving the sunshine this week! We have spent a lot of time outside enjoying the warm weather. We have absolutely loved having the ducks here too this week and today we have given them their first bath. The children had great fun watching them swim and getting splashed!

Little giggles, big imaginations, and a week of learning ahead..

This week we are preparing for our duck eggs to arrive! We are celebrating all things spring related with a range of activities from planting our own seeds, painting flowers, building sand castles and spending as much time outside as possible!

Learning through play is the best kind of day! 🧸🌈

Welcome back! 🌼

We hope everyone had a lovely Easter break filled with chocolate, family time, and lots of fun. We’re so excited to welcome all our little ones back to preschool and can’t wait for another term of learning, playing, and making special memories together.

This half term we are learning about chicks and life cycles of ducks and animals in keeping with our ducks arriving next Tuesday.

Let the adventures begin! 🐣🎨
