Achievement - Junior Olympics
Today, we celebrated the success of two of our pupils who competed in the Junior Olympic cup stacking competition in America. Both pupils were members of team GB. They were both very successful and managed to win medals in their individual and team competitions. Their dedication has certainly paid off, and they are an inspiration to all the pupils in our cup stacking club. Their classmates gave them a fantastic welcome by clapping them into assembly.

Maine IPS could not be prouder of Mrs. Elaine McBride, a long standing member of staff currently on a career break. Not content with having had such a wonderful impact on our school community, Mrs. McBride works tirelessly and selflessly to fundraise for NI Hospice.

P6- Achievement
Our P6 pupils demonstrated fantastic teamwork and collaboration as they worked together to build an Izak 9 wall. Through communication, problem-solving and supporting one another, they showed how much can be achieved when we work as a team. Well done, P6! 👏

Responsibility

Staff were delighted to spend the day with NI Council for Integrated Education on Tuesday.

As we enter a new academic year, we are as committed as ever to providing a quality, integrated education to our wonderful pupils. We are determined that our pupils will be the upstanders of the future.

Claire, Cliodhna and Hedley spent a day with the staff of Maine Integrated Primary School as they explored the theory and practice of Anti-Bias in Education, a central tenet of Integrated Education. It was so inspiring to work with such a welcoming and enthusiastic staff whose contributions and participation showed their commitment to ensuring they achieve the best outcomes for the children in their care. We wish them all the best for the year ahead and best of luck as they prepare for their Excellence in Integrated Education Award (EIEA) Assessment.
