What makes Ellington special?

It's a question we're often asked by families considering Ellington for their child.

The answer isn't found in one lesson, one event or one achievement. It's found in the everyday moments that make our school community so special.

It's children who feel safe enough to take risks in their learning.

It's staff who know every child as an individual and celebrate their successes, however big or small.

It's friendships that flourish, confidence that grows and a school where everyone feels they belong.

As another fantastic school year comes to an end, we'd like to take a moment to look back on an unforgettable Term 6. ❤️

It has been a term filled with learning, laughter and celebration. Our children have explored the outdoors at Monkton Nature Reserve, challenged themselves during Sports Afternoon, kept cool and made the most of the unforgettable heatwave, enjoyed our fantastic Summer Fayre, bounced into the holidays with some end-of-term fun, and wowed us with an incredible iRock concert.

We also celebrated our wonderful Year 1 children with a special end-of-year brunch, and, of course, said a fond farewell to our amazing Year 2 children as they performed at their Leavers' celebration and prepared for the exciting journey to junior school.

These photographs capture just a snapshot of the memories we've made together. Every smile, achievement and shared experience has helped make this another truly special year at Ellington Infant School.

Thank you to our amazing children for bringing such enthusiasm and kindness to school every day, to our dedicated staff for everything they do, and to our wonderful families for your continued support. We are incredibly proud of what we've achieved together as a school community.

We wish all of our families a happy, safe and restful summer holiday. Whether you're travelling, spending time with loved ones or simply enjoying a slower pace, we hope you make lots of wonderful memories.

Our wonderful Year 2 children sang their hearts out at their Leavers' Performance, and what a performance it was! 🎶

We are so incredibly proud of every single one of them. They sang with confidence, enthusiasm and joy, creating a truly special spectacle for their families and staff. It was the perfect way to celebrate everything they have achieved during their time at Ellington Infant School.

Watching them grow over the past three years has been a privilege, and while we're sad to see them leave, we know they are more than ready for their next adventure.

To all of our Year 2 children – thank you for the memories, the laughter and the smiles. We hope you continue to shine brightly at your new junior schools. We know you'll make us proud wherever you go. 🌟
