Christ Church Junior School Ramsgate Christ Church Junior School Ramsgate There are 256 children aged from 7-11 in our friendly two-form entry junior school. Mr N Tucker
Headteacher

At Christ Church we are very proud of our school, it is a nurturing and caring environment , has excellent staff who are fully committed to the pupils, wonderful grounds and is very well resourced. We have a strong emphasis on the learning of the basic skills which children need in order to be successful. However, we also endeavour to foster a love of learning through our rich, varied and engaging curriculum. We also believe strongly that Christ Church is an important part of the community and we welcome parents to become partners in their children’s learning.

Our School Council sell ice poles (as the weather gets colder, this changes to hot chocolate and cookies) on Friday at break time. The money raised is used for projects, suggested by our children, to improve the school.
If your child would like to buy an ice pole, please can they bring in 50p on Fridays. 🙂

Reading recognition was next on the billing. Unbelievably, eight children have read over a million words in just this school year. This is calculated from our AR (accelerated reader) scheme. They may well top over two million during the Summer holiday. An impressive feat. well done everyone. Special mention to the overall winner, whose word count topped 5.5 million.

Today we wish a fond farewell to our Year 6 as well as celebrating their personal growth and development on their journey through the school. It has been lovely to reminiscing with them and hearing about their memorable school moments. We wish them all the best in their next school and future endeavours.

Just before the band left the building, we were able to catch them for some photos. Despite their rock star status, there were no divas in the group. They were gracious and the camera loved them.
