At Christ Church we are very proud of our school, it is a nurturing and caring environment , has excellent staff who are fully committed to the pupils, wonderful grounds and is very well resourced. We have a strong emphasis on the learning of the basic skills which children need in order to be successful. However, we also endeavour to foster a love of learning through our rich, varied and engaging

curriculum. We also believe strongly that Christ Church is an important part of the community and we welcome parents to become partners in their children’s learning.

Finally, the Attendance Award winners. Children with over 97% attendance were entered into the draw. Twelve winners were picked, each receiving a book of their choice. Four more children were chosen to receive a board game and finally the overall winner received a Hollywood Bowl family voucher.

Although the World Cup is over, those children who picked the winning team were awarded their own 3D replica world cup.

Reading recognition was next on the billing. Unbelievably, eight children have read over a million words in just this school year. This is calculated from our AR (accelerated reader) scheme. They may well top over two million during the Summer holiday. An impressive feat. well done everyone. Special mention to the overall winner, whose word count topped 5.5 million.
