😁🪥 Say cheese! Let’s keep those little smiles sparkling! 🦷✨

As part of our ‘All About Me’ topic and PSED learning, our Reception children have been learning how to look after their teeth! 💛

🪥 We practised brushing model teeth using small circular movements and talked about healthy brushing habits. Each child also received their own toothbrush and toothpaste to use at home! 🏡🦷

✋✨ Our ‘Busy Hands’ activities helped develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination as the children cleaned pictures of teeth.

We’re so proud of our little learners and their bright, healthy smiles! 😃💛

🌟 Year 1 Outdoor Learning! 🌟

Our Year 1 children had great fun taking on an outdoor challenge! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Working together in teams, they designed and built exciting obstacle courses for their toys. The big question was… which team could create the most exciting course? 🧸🎯

There was lots of creativity, teamwork and problem-solving along the way! Well done, Year 1! 👏😊

👶🌟 Reception – All About Me! 🌟👶

Our Reception children have been learning all about themselves as babies and how they have grown and changed!

📸 The children enjoyed looking at their baby photographs alongside pictures of themselves now, spotting the differences and talking about how much they have changed.

📏 We measured ourselves to see how tall we are and thought about how we have grown over time.

🛁 The children took on the important job of caring for babies, washing the dolls and talking about what babies need to keep them clean, safe and happy.

It has been lovely to see the children sharing their experiences, developing their communication and language skills, and learning all about how we grow and care for one another. ❤️

Our team had a fantastic time at the Multi-Skills Festival, taking on handball, dodgeball & skittles 🤾‍♀️🔴🎳

Out of 12 teams, they were voted Team of the Festival for showing incredible:

🌿👃 Exploring Our Five Senses! 👂👅🖐️👀

We’ve had a fantastic time exploring our five senses through lots of exciting, hands-on activities! 🌟

🌿👃 Sense of Smell
We investigated some lovely scents, including rosemary and lavender, which grow beautifully in our school garden. 💜🌱

👂🍃 Sound Walk
We went on a Sound Walk around the school, listening carefully to all the different noises we could hear, including the wonderful sounds of nature. 🐦🌳👣

👅🍋 Sense of Taste
We had great fun tickling our taste buds with a variety of fruits! 🍈🍋🍈 We explored sweet melon, sour lemon and zesty lime. 😋

🖐️🎨 Sense of Touch
We developed our sense of touch through lots of sensory play, including Play-Doh, water and small world play. 💦🌈🐻

🎶🥁 Making Music
We also had lots of fun creating music in the garden with the colourful Boom Whackers! 🎵🌈 We even made our own shakers in the craft area. 🪇🎨

What a wonderful week of exploring, discovering and learning through our senses! 🌟💚👃👂👅🖐️👀

🌟 Sensory Circuits: Helping Children Get Ready to Learn! 🧠✨

Our children have been taking part in sensory circuits to help them feel calm, focused and ready to learn. 💪😊

Sensory circuits combine physical activities, coordination and movement to help children regulate their bodies and prepare their brains for learning. 🏃‍♀️🤸‍♂️🧩

From jumping and balancing to stretching and energetic movement, the children are developing their gross motor skills, concentration, coordination and self-regulation while having lots of fun! 🎯👏

💚 A little movement can make a big difference to how children feel, focus and engage in their learning.

Well done everyone! 🌈⭐️
