📣 Another opportunity for Kent Test practice! 💙

At TPL, we’re always looking for ways to support our families beyond the sessions we provide ourselves.

We’re really pleased to be able to share these monthly Kent Test mock sessions being offered by another local tutor.

We have 3 TPL mocks planned throughout the next academic year, but we know that some children may benefit from having additional opportunities to experience a mock, practise working under timed conditions and become familiar with the test environment.

These sessions are also a fantastic opportunity for children who aren’t currently part of the TPL community but are looking for some extra Kent Test practice.

Sometimes the more opportunities children have to experience the format, the more familiar and confident it becomes — and that's something we really value at TPL.

So if you're looking for additional Kent Test practice, or you're not currently attending TPL but would like your child to experience a mock, this could be a great option. 💙

With the start of a new school year just around the corner, we thought it was the perfect time to remind you about the wonderful TPL educators who are here to support your children throughout the year. 💜

At TPL, we’re incredibly proud of our team. Our educators bring a wealth of teaching experience, subject knowledge and, most importantly, a genuine passion for helping children feel confident, capable and proud of their learning.

From Kent Test preparation and school readiness to GCSE Maths, English and Science, our team supports children across a wide range of ages, abilities and learning needs.

As we head into September, our educators are getting ready to welcome both our returning pupils and those joining the TPL community for the first time. 💜

As we head into a new academic year, we wanted to share a little reminder of what we offer at TPL and, more importantly, what we're all about.

We currently have spaces across all of our areas, although our face-to-face 1:1 availability is very limited.

But TPL has always been about more than the lessons.

We want children to walk through our doors feeling safe, supported and valued. We want them to build confidence, learn to believe in themselves and know that it's okay to make mistakes.

And we are incredibly proud of the community we've created.

From our Home Ed families to our Kent Test groups, GCSE students and younger learners, we've watched friendships grow, confidence soar and children celebrate each other's successes.

We've had theatre trips, pottery, festivals, football fun, charity collections and our uniform drive — because learning doesn't have to stop at the classroom door.

We are so much more than a tutoring centre. We're a community. 💙

Today might bring excitement, nerves, relief, pride or perhaps a mixture of all of them!

Whatever those results look like, we hope you take a moment to recognise just how much work, effort and determination has gone into getting here. GCSE results are just one part of your journey, not a measure of who you are or what you are capable of.

We are incredibly proud of every one of you and will be cheering you on today and for whatever comes next. 🎓✨

Starting Reception in September? 🌟

Starting school is a huge milestone, and we know those first few weeks can look very different for every child. With staggered starts, mornings, afternoons and shorter days, we’re wondering whether school readiness support could be useful for families during this transition.

We’re thinking about relaxed, play-based sessions to help children develop the skills they need to feel confident, settled and ready for school. 💛

Before we put anything together, we'd love to know what parents would actually find useful.

Would you be interested in school readiness sessions during the first few weeks of Reception?

I’ve just popped out and set up the TPL school uniform drive for anyone who can make it over today! 😊
We’ve got a great selection of pre-loved school uniform available, covering a wide range of ages and sizes — trousers, skirts, shirts, PE kits, jumpers, blazers, jackets, socks, tights and more!

There are even some brand new items with tags still on. Everything is in great, reusable condition and completely free. 💙

So, if you’re still getting the kids ready for September and could make use of anything, pop along and have a look!

Just love that despite not actually being in a school we still get to do trips.

I think theatre trips will be the norm at TPL. Tonight we enjoyed another visit to Marlowe; this time to watch Mean Girls. So much fun with some of our awesome kids and adults.
