We’ve loved hearing your feedback about our online Kent Test sessions. Parents have told us their children really enjoyed themselves, preferred our session format and liked having the chance to share their thoughts and answer questions.

We want every child to feel involved, supported and confident to have a go. Our interactive sessions help children practise key Kent Test skills in a welcoming group, with plenty of encouragement along the way. 💚

For the next two weeks only, you can try a session for £10. Message us to find out more and book your child’s place.

💚 This week’s Parent Top Tip

When you ask your child a question, give them a little longer to answer before stepping in. Silently counting to five can make a real difference.
Some children need extra time to process the question and organise their thoughts. A calm pause shows them that their ideas are worth waiting for. 🌱

Biscuits aren’t the only snack we enjoy at TPL! 🍪

One of our lovely learners brought in sweets to share with everyone to celebrate his birthday. It was such a thoughtful thing to do, and the children were so happy to celebrate together. 🎉

🍎 Our NEW Kent Test 11+ Online Sessions start TODAY! 🍎

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to create an online approach that feels completely different from children simply sitting and watching a lesson on a screen.

At TPL, every child answers. Every child is seen. ❤️

Our online groups are deliberately small, with each child working on their own interactive board while the tutor can see everyone’s answers and working in real time.

That means we can see much more than whether an answer is right or wrong. We can spot misconceptions, see how a child is thinking and respond immediately — while making sure quieter children are just as involved as the most confident.

Try replacing “That’s easy!” with “You worked that out brilliantly!”

What feels easy to an adult may have taken real effort from a child. Praising the strategy, perseverance or progress helps build confidence and encourages them to keep trying when learning feels difficult. 🌱

Dyslexia Awareness Week begins today 💜

Dyslexia is lifelong, but the right support can make a real difference to how someone experiences learning.

A child may need information presented in a different way, a little extra time, or another way to show what they know. Those adjustments aren’t an unfair advantage. They help children take part and let their strengths shine.

At TPL, we believe confidence matters. Every child deserves to feel understood, encouraged and able to make progress in a way that works for them.

This week, let’s celebrate different ways of thinking and learning. 💜
