The St Andrew's PTFA - Ramsbottom

St. Andrews PTFA, raising money, hosting events and bringing everyone together. All parents, teachers & friends are very welcome to attend the PTFA meetings.

Even if you feel you have limited time to help organise activities, it would be great to have your input when coming up with fundraising ideas. Meetings generally last an hour and are sometimes held in the pub... If you are interested in attending, please just come along! We're a friendly bunch and we'd appreciate the extra support!

Another 2026 Egg-cellent Challenge completed!🥚🐔

Billy, soon to be in Year 5, has officially completed his 2026 challenge! 🎉👏

"Over the summer holidays, we decided to take on a slightly egg-straordinary project… we adopted 12 chickens!🐔🐔🐔

They are all very good girls and have been laying lots of lovely eggs, which Billy has been selling to family, friends and neighbours to help raise money for St Andrews. 💛

So far, we have managed to name two of them! The oldest is our very own ‘Boss Lady’ 👑🐔 and another is ‘Dolly’ 🐔💕 — with eight more names still to come!

They have certainly kept us busy over the holidays, but they have also been lots of fun and have made this challenge a truly egg-cellent one! 🥚😂"

A huge well done, Billy, and a big thank you to everyone who has bought eggs and supported his challenge. Your support means so much! 💛

Now… who’s ready for some more some more eggs 🥚🤣

If you thought we’d gone quiet on the 2026 Challenge… well,

WE’RE BACK WITH A BANG!! 💥🎉

Emilia Capel (soon to be Y5 next week) took on a swimming challenge for the 2026 challenge.

She decided to try and swim 2026 metres over the 6 week holidays. She did this while at her weekly swimming lesson at Ramsbottom Pool and also with extra swimming sessions with her dad and Grandma.

She has just completed it tonight and absolutely smashed it with the total metres swam - 2100! Super proud of her 😁

What an amazing achievement, Emilia. We are SO proud of you! 😁❤️

Uniform Shop Is BACK! 🎉

Our pre-loved Uniform Shop is back up and running from next Wednesday! 🙌

Perfect for those last-minute uniform buys when you suddenly realise your child has had a HUGE summer growth spurt and is somehow three sizes bigger than they were last year. 😅

Caroline has kindly designed 2 posters (making it eaiser on the eye!) that show exactly what your support has helped us achieve during the 2025/26 school year. 💙

We’re so proud to say that every penny raised has been spent directly on our children and our school.

Another 2026 challenge accepted 😎

Lois, in soon to be year 4, has done hers 🎶

Lois went to Together Again Festival yesterday, where she managed to see 26 different acts across the four days!!

Also, if if that wasn't enough....she threw in as many fair rides as she could, including a ride on Elevate, the tallest mobile amusement ride in the world. Wow!!

Another 2026 Challenge accepted! 🌊

Jensen (nearly year 4), and Jonah (soon to be year 2) decided that while on holiday in Crete, they were going to take on 26 water slides in one day... because apparently that's a perfectly sensible idea! 🤪😂

Safe to say they smashed the challenge and had the best time! 💙 Here are a few pics from their crazy adventure. 📸

2026 Challenge!!!

Louis L, one of our Year 2 superstars (soon to be Year 3!), has completed the 2026 Challenge by building a whole 26 sandcastles to help raise money for the school! 🏰

So far, he's raised just over £20.26....with even more to come once he collects all of his sponsorship money. Thank you to everyone who's supported him so far! ❤️

He had so much fun building all 26 sandcastles… but had even more fun knocking them all down afterwards! 😂

🎉 School's Out for Summer! ☀️

What a wonderful year we've had! Thanks to the incredible support of our school community, we've raised an amazing amount of money through a variety of events throughout the year. We can't thank you enough for your generosity and support. 💙

We'll be sharing another post soon to show exactly where the money has been spent and how it's benefited our wonderful children.

A huge good luck to all of our Year 6 pupils as they move on to the next chapter of their journey. We know you'll all continue to let your light shine wherever you go, and we couldn't be prouder of each and every one of you. 🌟

🎉 St Andrew’s Fun Day 2026! 🎉

Today is our annual School Fun Day and we couldn't be more excited!

A huge thank you to all of our amazing parents, families and supporters. Events throughout the year and your generous support have made today possible.

Today is all about rewarding our wonderful children for all their hard work and achievements this year, and showing that the money raised through the PTFA is being spent where it matters most – on the children 💙

The children will be enjoying:
🍦 FREE ice cream from the ice cream man
🥤 FREE refreshments
🏰 A fantastic bouncy castle, kindly funded by our School Council!

We hope they have an unforgettable day filled with laughter, smiles and lots of fun. Thank you once again for helping us create these special memories for our children. Wishing everyone a fantastic Fun Day! ☀️🎈
