We are incredibly proud of all our students who have put in so much hard work. The students have achieved 77% at grade 9 - 4 in English and 71% at grade 9 - 4 in Maths. We can also see that our students have made great progress since joining the school with many students achieving top grades in the 9 - 7 range across all subjects in the school.
As always there were many exceptional performances from individual students, among those with impressive performances achieving all top end grades in the range 9 to 7 are: Anna B, Illia B, Jeremy B, Eden C, Jack M and Florence M.
As well as achieving top grades this year many of our Year 11 students have made significant progress from their starting point and exceeded their target grades as a result of hard work. There are too many to mention but to name a few of our top performers in terms of progress: Evie L, Barnaby T, Iris S, Lauren B, Shannon B, Tilly A, Molly B and Sam M. We want to congratulate all of our students on a brilliant set of results that shows excellent progress .
Keith Howard, the Headteacher said: “We are immensely proud of all the work and achievements of our students, especially after such a difficult and disrupted period during their secondary education. Exams this year have been graded differently to previous years and I am delighted to see so many students excelling. Our teachers have worked tirelessly in school to ensure our students are all able to progress onto further education and study, and we look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the future.
They have been an excellent year group who have done all that we have asked of them and done themselves, their parents and Writhlington School proud with their achievements. We’re grateful for all the parental support we’ve had in supporting them. On behalf of all the staff, we wish them every success on the next stage of their journey.
We look forward to welcoming many of our Year 11 students into our Sixth Form in September and wish those that are continuing their journey at college or onto an apprenticeship the very best of luck.
Congratulations to all of our sixth form students. This year’s exam results are a testament to your commitment and dedication to your studies.
We wish you every success on the next step of your journey, at university or in employment.
