🩵Partnerships with families💙

Last term we hosted our first Saturday stay and play session for our Mill families and what a fantastic morning it was!

Families were invited to join us to explore our provision, spend time with our staff, meet other families and experience the welcoming environment that makes our setting a special place to be.

We are so proud of our dedicated staff who continuously go above and beyond to nurture meaningful relationships with our families. Following the success of the session we hope to make our stay and play an annual event 🙌🏼

🚌 A trip on the bus 🚌

Our Barley room caught the bus into Midsomer Norton yesterday to visit the library and explore their wonderful sensory room. Everyone had a great time discovering the sensory equipment and choosing books to enjoy ☺️
After their visit the children visited the supermarket to buy some food for their friends back at nursery 🍞🍎

Trips like these give our youngest children the opportunity to experience the world around them and begin building familiar connections within their local community.

The library is a fantastic free resource for families and we highly recommend a visit 📖 🙌🏼

If you are a parent, carer or practitioner supporting a child or young person aged 0–25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Somerset wants to hear about your experiences of SEND services over the past 12 months.
The annual SEND survey is an opportunity to share your views on the support and services available across Somerset. Your feedback will help Somerset Council, NHS Somerset ICB and Somerset Parent Carer Forum understand what is working well, identify where improvements are needed, and shape future SEND services for children, young people and their families.
The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete. As a thank you for taking part, you can also choose to enter a prize draw.

Some of our Baby Room team had the opportunity to join the Bristol and Beyond Hub for an inspiring session focused on high-quality baby room provision. We are always exploring ways to offer our youngest children exciting, stimulating, and developmentally rich experiences, and this event was a fantastic chance to collaborate with other settings and share ideas and best practice.
Our staff came away with fresh inspiration and will be implementing some new ideas and approaches—so watch this space!
