World Book Day 2025 📚

Here's what we got up to last week for world book day. Elmer and The Gruffalo were the favourites amongst the children, so we had a few different activites based around these book.

We also had a parent event in Kingfisher Room, parents and carers were invited to join the children for our 'Tiger Who Came To Tea Party' 🍰

Hello it's been a while since we have posted so let's catch you up ☺️

We have 3 rooms now

Robin Room -
This room is ran by Hayley, our SENCO, and Sam. We accommodate children with additional needs, who benefit from a lower ratio. We also share children with the specialist preschool BOP.

Kingfisher Room -
This is our nursery room, we have children aged 2 to 3 and is ran by Cath and Elly.

Nightingale Room -
This is our preschool room, Ran by Jo and Kiera. All children in this room are heading up to school within the next year.

We have Lori on hand to provide 1-1 support for children who require the additional help.

Good afternoon!

Starting after February half term (Monday 28th February) we will be offering a later pick up, at 3.30pm Monday to Thursdays.
This will cost £3.00 per day. If you wish to book your child a space please let us know before half term.

Don’t forget we also offer a early drop off at 8.30am for £3.00.

We’ve been celebrating Chinese New Year this week, year of the tiger!! 🐅
We’ve had a range of activities red play dough, rice, noodles in the mud kitchen, painting Chinese symbols with sticks, trying noodles for our snack and doing a Chinese dragon dance. 🐉

Bonnie bought in a lovely pumpkin for the nursery room.
We have named the pumpkin Polly. 🎃
Lori and Hayley have decided to use the pumpkin to watch it decay and rot down in our curiosity cube. So we can observe the changes over time, as the pumpkin goes mouldy the seeds will go into the soil and will hopefully start growing so we can plant them out at spring time. Continuing the growth and decay cycle.
