RED NOSE DAY- Thankyou to all our children and staff for dressing up in their PJs for Red Noes Day 2024. We raised a fantastic £107.50.

Elm and Maple class visited Park Row Synagogue in Bristol this week to learn about the synagogue and Jewish beliefs. We were met by Tony who taught us about the Jewish faith and Jewish practices. We learnt about what we could find in a Synagogue including the Ark, the Torah scroll and the Bimah.

We impressed Tony with our knowledge of the Jewish faith which included knowing the Torah is read in right to left, Jewish boys have a bar mitzah when they are 13 and we needed to use a yad to when reading from the Torah scroll.

Nursery room change about 😃 It’s always lovely to see the children accessing our provision in different ways when the room has had a change around. What a lovely space for our 2-4 year olds ✨

We wanted to say a big thank you to some very generous parents that gifted nursery a new dolls house and car garage! The children have loved exploring these new toys 😀

We had a lovely stay and play for all our lovely families last night. Building up the fire, roasting marshmallows, hot chocolate, biscuits and singing songs around the fire. Thank you so much to everyone that came😃

The Queens platinum Jubilee 👑👸💂‍♀️
What a lovely week celebrating!
Roots nursery has loved learning about the Queen.
We had a street party 🎉
Drew the Queen and wrote her special letters 📮
Made the Queen and ourselves some afternoon tea sandwiches 🥪
Built our very own bucking palace 🏰
And joined in with the whole school jubilee church service.
What a lovely end to the term, have a lovely weeks break everyone 😃

We hope you have a lovely Easter and that the Easter bunny brings you some treats as yummy as the Easter egg shortbread we made before half term 😋

A not so sunny week here at nursery ❄️🌧 So we brought the sunny sea side, inside to us! The children loved listening in the shells to see if they could hear the sea, feeling the texture of the sand, mixing different textures together and telling us about their shark 🦈 experiences!
We have also kept cosy in the reading 📖 area, looking at books together📚.

And some Friday cooking… chocolate rice crispy cakes for an afternoon treat😋

This afternoon we had a ‘Stay & Play’ where we invited all of our families to come and play. Here are some of the activities we had set up ready to explore! 😊
