Happy Easter 🐣 🥚🐰🌼
We hope you have a lovely Easter and that the Easter bunny brings you some treats as yummy as the Easter egg shortbread we made before half term 😋

A not so sunny week here at nursery ❄️🌧 So we brought the sunny sea side, inside to us! The children loved listening in the shells to see if they could hear the sea, feeling the texture of the sand, mixing different textures together and telling us about their shark 🦈 experiences!
We have also kept cosy in the reading 📖 area, looking at books together📚.
Carrying out mark making on the easel, can you spot the letter ‘T’ …
And some Friday cooking… chocolate rice crispy cakes for an afternoon treat😋
This afternoon we had a ‘Stay & Play’ where we invited all of our families to come and play. Here are some of the activities we had set up ready to explore! 😊
Thank you to all of those who came. Have a lovely weekend 🌞 ⭐️

Light and dark week... the children loved mixing the black paint to the white shaving foam, watching the changes and exploring the textures 😊
We have been looking at light and dark this week using a variety of activities, the children have used their senses to explore the differences and the changes that can be made.
Last week we had a visit from Steve, from Somerset Road Safety, who talked us through being safe whilst we are near the road. He told us 4 very important rules, which are: 1. STOP 2. LOOK 3. LISTEN 4. THINK.
After our visit from Steve, we made our own zebra crossing. Today, we had our lollipop lady, Mrs Stringer come to nursery to help us use and cross our zebra crossing safely!
🌟 Big thanks to Steve and Mrs Stringer 🌟
🌹 Remembrance Day 🌹
The children have been creating their poppies this week using a range of materials. We have made our own poppy wreath to take to Church with us, ready for our Remembrance Service.
We have also been watching a lovely, age appropriate short clip on the CBeebies website in relation to Remembrance Day. Here is the link if you would like to watch it at home. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02qvbd9
