Yesterday, we held our annual Sports Day. As always, it was a hugely fun and competitive afternoon of sports. This year featured some highly competitive Mums and Dads races and the cutest Toddler race ever! The children absolutely shone throughout the afternoon and, in the end, Hawking narrowly retained their crown from Daley through a win in the final relay. Thank you so much to Mr Gru for setting the day up and running a great event. Thank you also to pupils, staff, parents and families for a lovely event. 🥇 🥈 🥉

On Friday, our Y5/6 Cricket Team visited Lacey Green to take part in the Wycombe District Finals. This was their first competitive cricket experience and most of them had only played a bit at school. Despite that, they performed incredibly, finishing 4th overall and narrowly losing out in the bronze medal match. An absolutely amazing effort. I was so, so proud of them all! 🏏

Great Green Gym session today with Y3/4. Lots planted and we already have a few promising growers! Thank you so much to Abundance Seedlings for their incredibly generous donation to our project. The children were so excited when they got there and found the seedlings waiting for them. 🪏 🪴

What an awesome day at Whipsnade Zoo! Badgers saw so, so many amazing animals despite the weather doing its very best to put us off! The ‘Cuteness of the Day’ award went to the Red Pandas, whilst Miss Davies put in a bid for Wildlife Photographer of the Year with a very artsy shot of an elephant feeding. The children were an absolute credit to the school throughout and put in some serious steps (10km of walking according to my watch). I bet there are some tired ones tonight! Well done Badgers and thank you to the staff and volunteers for a great day.
