The countdown is over and the FIFA World Cup 2026 has officially arrived! Over the next few weeks, the world is coming together for a massive celebration of football, teamwork, and global community.

🥦🍎 It’s Healthy Eating Week! 🍓🥕

At Monkey Puzzle, we believe good nutrition is the foundation for happy, healthy little learners. This week, we’re celebrating all the colorful fruits, veggies, and tasty meals that fuel our curious minds and busy bodies!

Our menus have been created in partnership with Early Years Nutritionist Laura Matthews, offering balanced, seasonal meals made with fresh, wholesome ingredients and packed with flavours your little ones will love 🥦🍠🥕

Children will be supported to stay healthy and hydrated throughout the day, with water always accessible and regular drinks breaks built into the routine. From snack time chats about our favourite foods to cooking activities that get little hands involved, we make healthy eating fun and exciting. 💚

Once registered, families will receive full menu details, and we’ll work closely with you to ensure all dietary requirements and allergies are fully catered for.

Choosing a day nursery✨

Choosing the right day nursery for your child can be daunting and it’s possibly the first time you will be leaving your precious child in the care of someone other than friends and family. Making the right decision is crucial for your peace of mind, as well as ensuring your child receives the best early education, leaving them excited and prepared for when they attend school.

Well, the first piece of advice when choosing a day nursery is to shop around. Even if the first nursery you visit ticks all the boxes be sure to visit others in your area. Here at Monkey Puzzle, we believe that once you see the facilities on offer and our approach to offering quality childcare, you will want to register your child, but we want to make sure you have made the right decision.

Obviously, the potential day nursery should meet all statutory requirements. It must be registered with Ofsted and meet the legal ratio of staff to children. In theory, any day nursery that is operating commercially will meet these requirements, but it’s always best to check!

Our magical environment✨

Our environment will enable your child to explore, develop and learn through spaces designed and equipped especially with them in mind. You’ll see many familiar homely items like bookcases, tables, chairs, and sofas – just much smaller than you are used to!

At Monkey Puzzle, we consider the environment to be your child’s third teacher. Due to this, it joins you as parents and us as educators in guiding your child through their learning. Additionally, you’ll notice how we use our garden areas as an outdoor classroom too. This is because it is full of features to support their play and learning.

Moreover, we keep many aspects of our nursery surroundings consistent. We do this as we know your child will benefit greatly from this regularity. It is reinforced with core resources, enriching toys, games and creative materials, which are always at hand to play with. However, it will not be unusual for parts of our nursery to become unique adventure places. This is because it encourages your child’s imagination to run free!
