Really enjoyed being part of the coaching team for the 'performance Running Camp' Oundle school. 64 young aspiring athletes over 4 days.
They were pretty tired at the end of it but went away armed with more knowledge and confidence.

What a marathon weekend that was. First sub 2 hour marathon (and like a bus 2 come along at the same time š¤£) But way more importanly I had 5 athletes I have the priviledge to coach running 3 London, 2 Stratford
Stratford Claire Dennison some great consistency in recent half marathons and carried through the the full in 4.01 and Catherine Hedger producing a PB run of 3.56 a 13 min improvement. Looking like they both enjoyed their runs - at least in the post run photo!
London - Great run from Syed Hassan Clocking 3.32 a big improvement from 3.45 at Valencia in Dec 2025 and heading in the right direction back to sub 3.30. Very proud of the run from Anyaka Brenda Ad, Brenda with 4.53 knocking of 36 minutes from her London run last year and an overall pb of 18 minutes. Looking forward to more results from Brenda in the coming weeks too.
Finally Richard Perkins smashing his pb by 20 mins with a 3.30 run with incredibly consistent splits through the race and setting himself up nicely for sub 3.30 next time.
So lovely to see the photos, post run and during the run little bit of R&R for them all now. Congratulations.

Another weekend gone and another marathon.
A big congratulations to Tony Armitage for a perfectly executed negative split race. 'If Carlsberg ran marathons then' (you may need to be a certain age to understand that one!)
A huge pb of over 11 minutes! in a time of 3.37.22. I have poached pictures from Claire Armitage which are brilliant I love the the look of confidence as he runs past the sign saying 'Exceptional' which to be fair it was.
Well done Tony

Last weekend saw two more maratrhon runs by Runner Bean athletes.
George Burdett completing a very challenging Boston Lincolnshire marathon, in brutal windy conditions in a great time of 3 hours 23 mins ahead of his manchester Marathon time last year.
Ian Hawley completing the Milan (suspecy rather nicer conditions) in 3 hours and 4 mins, a big PB of 11 mins.
Both men consistently improving their running. Congratulations
