Today we visited St Hughes Church to support their creation care efforts! 🌱💚 The children had a fantastic time making beautiful postcards using flowers for coloring, which will be displayed in the church. We brought to life the beloved story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and now we have our very own hungry caterpillars wiggling around! 🐛💚

🌟 WORK HARD, PLAY HARD! 🌟

At Quethiock School, we believe that brilliant learning goes hand-in-hand with epic playtimes! This week, our playground transformed into the ultimate zone of adventure, and the energy has been absolutely electric! ⚡️

We are thrilled to unveil our brand-new playtime kit, designed to spark imagination, teamwork, and a whole lot of laughter. Our playgrounds are now buzzing with:

🏎️ Drifting Trikes & Wiggle Boards – for our thrill-seekers mastering those awesome turns!

🎯 Archery Sets – where future champions are aiming high and hitting the bullseye!

🏗️ Loose Parts Play – unleashing endless creativity as the children build, design, and collaborate!

✨ Skipping Equipment & so much more!

Just look at the pure joy, determination, and big smiles on those faces! This is what building lifelong memories looks like.

🎉 Wow! Check out the incredible creativity of the Mini Swans this afternoon! 🌟 We headed outside and stumbled upon a whole new playground filled with exciting loose parts: tyres, wooden planks, cones, pallets, and even a seesaw! 🛝 The Mini Swans had an absolute blast racing around the new track, jumping through tyres, building amazing structures, and finding fun ways to balance! 🏃‍♂️💨 Huge thanks to everyone who's donated! If you have any more 'loose parts' to share, we’d be thrilled to have them! 🙌✨

🎒✨ The adventure begins this Wednesday! ✨🎒

We are absolutely thrilled to extend a huge, warm Quethiock welcome to the newest members of our school family—our wonderful Reception cohort for 2026/27! ❤️

This Wednesday marks the start of their transition journey as they join us for the first of our 'stay and play' sessions. These visits are a beautiful way for our littlest learners to explore their new classroom, make new friends, and get a true feel for school life before the big move in September.

Since learning here is always an adventure, we wanted to give them the perfect start. Each new pupil has received a special welcome gift to help them navigate the exciting times ahead! Keep an eye out for their new drawstring bags, packed with a real compass, activity booklets, and plenty of inspiration for the journey. 🗺️🧭
