Preparing resources for a session on coordinating conjunctions. We will enjoy building our sentences, ensuring that they make sense!

These salt dough graphemes were created with my 4 year old son in mind to allow him to practise reading and writing the sounds he has already learned in school. He has loved tracing the shapes with his fingers and using tweezers to fill the shapes with pom poms. They could also be used to practise blending for reading and segmenting for writing.

I’d love to use these in a session!

I’ve been looking forward to using my foam number square in a session at some point.

This week we’re working on counting in multiples so this resource will allow us to have lots of fun whilst learning.

The added bonus is that it will also help us work on fine motor skills.

It was very exciting to start tuition sessions this week and what a great first week we had!

My eldest started school for the first time last week.

Despite a number of years working as a Key Stage 1 teacher, I have only fully appreciated the enormity of this transition now that I am going through it with my own little one.

Has your child found the transition to a new year group challenging this September? Would they benefit from some additional tuition in a key subject?

Welcome to Swindon Tailored Tuition!

I am a fully qualified teacher, based in the Swindon area. I provide 1:1 or small group tuition in English and Maths, for children from Early Years to Year 6.

My passion is supporting all children to reach their full potential, through lessons which are engaging, fun and fully personalised to their needs and interests. In order for children to achieve and thrive, I believe that they need to develop a love for learning. This is my main aim, alongside improving children’s confidence, independence and of course, their educational achievement.

I have;
• QTS (Qualified Teaching Status)
• DBS certificate (can be provided upon request)
• Experience of teaching and tutoring children from Early Years to Year 6

I can provide lessons from the comfort of your home or from my own home (time dependent).
