This week is all about dinosaurs 🦕

We have enjoyed a range of hands on sensory activities! We made salt dough fossils and lots of exploring dinosaur sounds and movements!🦖🦖

What a beautiful morning we have had out exploring the village and enjoying the sunshine!🌿🌿

We went for a walk to enjoy the signs of spring, listen for bird sounds and visit the local pigs and sheep🌼☀️

It has been a super exciting day!!🐥🐥

Our chicks have started hatching in the incubator! Yesterday we had 4 hatched and we arrived at nursery to a whopping total of 20 and a further 4 hatched today so we have a grand total of 24 chicks at nursery….. so far!!🤞🏻

The children have shown great compassion to the chicks and have been very excited watching them explore life outside their eggs! We were lucky enough to hold them today!

We are super excited to see them grow!🐥🐥

We had a super exciting visit at nursery last week! The police came to visit us and talk about the important job they do every day and show us inside their police car!

The children asked lots of questions and understood what to do if we were ever in danger and how the police work very hard in keeping us safe!

We had a great time exploring inside the police car and trying on the uniform!

This visit sparked great imagination in role play and a deeper interest in the work people do to help us!

Thankyou so much to the wonderful police ladies who took time out of their day to visit our nursery!👮🏼👮🏼

A wonderful start to our book week!📚📚

Our book today was ‘room on the broom’ where we explored making potions and magic spells!

Our home corner has changed into a role play farm area which has sparked huge amount of imaginative role play! Lots of egg collecting and counting, caring for animals and sharing ideas with friend’s!

We have been busy getting creative for Mother’s Day! We have had great fun in the garden in the sunshine exploring the sandpit and water play 🌼🌼

🌼🌼 Children’s mental health week 🌼🌼

We had a great time celebrating children’s mental health week!
One of our amazing mummies is a mental health nurse and she very kindly came to speak to us about the amazing work she does and how to regulate our emotions!
She brought some emotion friends with her and we discussed our different emotions and what we may do when we are feeling a certain way!
She taught us a very cool breathing technique and we discussed ways to keep our mind and body healthy!

This was a great way for the children to learn about their emotions and mind and celebrate children’s mental health week!

Thankyou to one of our lovely mummies for giving up time to come and speak to the children!🌼🌼
