Mini Explorers Pulborough

We have been very busy in baby room over the last few weeks.

The children have been using their senses exploring with frozen ice (which seems to be a top favourite with lots of the children at the moment), jelly and playdough. These activities have provided the children with lots of opportunities to share with their friends and develop their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

During Half Term we were lucky enough to visit the baby hens at Fittleworth School.

We have had lots of fun with music and dance this week, the children took a particular like to A round of applause to the dinosaur song. We have also have been practising our fine motor skill’s with tweezers and spaghetti, using our imaginations making our own ice creams with shaving foam and an added car or two.

This week, we explored dinosaurs through sensory play. The children enjoyed touching and feeling different dinosaur textures, supporting their early sensory development.
They also explored painting with dinosaur feet, discovering movement and mark-making, and investigated frozen dinosaur eggs, showing curiosity as they watched the dinosaurs appear.

We have had lots of fun this week! We sowed seeds to grow our own cress on earth day. We visited the sheep and then took a walk on the brooks to look at all the lovely flowers.

It was St George’s day yesterday, we decorated our own flags and spent lots of time in the garden enjoying the sunshine.

Last week was all about the weather, we explored lots of different textures though our senses. We had snow! Sunny play- doh and icebergs made from ice and we had to free all the little animals hidden side.

We have had lots of fun doing our Easter activites during the last week of term.

The children have enjoyed making their Easter cards and painting their own eggs.

We have planted and growing our own sunflower seeds.

The Easter bonnets were all amazing and the children did a fantastic job. We loved seeing all your hard work!

We have had lots of fun activities for our spring theme this week, here are a few.

Planting our flowers, scooping and exploring the soil 🌷
We created our own rainbow toast developing our listening and fine motor skills by using the brushes to make marks on the bread.

We learnt so much during science week!Exploring colours with coloured ice cubes, exploding stars experiment and very fluffy cloud dough..

We made our Mother’s Day cards and biscuits to take home and invited our mums to join us for a Mother’s Day tea party.
