✨🎶 As Saturdays go, last week was pretty special. For the last couple of months, our amazing choir have been keeping a VERY big secret from the guests at Miss Maughan’s wedding. I think it’s safe to say we surprised them! Some of the guests went as far as to say that our performance was one of the highlights of the day 😱. We were totally honoured to have been asked and the children absolutely LOVED the experience. Their behaviour was impeccable and they performed like absolute professionals! We were so proud of you all ❤️👏🏻. Can we also take a moment to appreciate how beautiful ‘Mrs McMaster’ (🤭) looks! She wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the parents/ carers for making the effort to get your children there on Saturday…and of course she wanted to thank the children for their amazing performance! ✨🎶 Summer Choir Concert - WOW! We are all so proud of the children for their hard work and efforts towards making this concert so special. Well done boys and girls ❤️!!

I also want to show some appreciation for the two amazing girls - Poppy and Arianna, who decided to learn BSL for the Greatest Showman song. They learned it in their own time and have worked so hard on it! Well done girls 👏🏻.

Thank you to all of the children for coming to choir every week, for learning the songs and for bringing your enthusiasm and fantastic attitudes to our performances. I am one SERIOUSLY proud choir teacher! Let’s go again in September!! 💪🏻

Year 2 Druridge Bay Trip ☀️🌊🐚

The children in year 2 have had a blast today on their trip to the beach. 🏝️

Throughout the morning they took part in a carousel of 3 activities; rounders, sketching the scenery and playing in the park. Once we ate lunch we went down to the beach.

The children ran into the sea and splashed about, having so much fun.

Thank you to the parent helpers for making our trip run super smoothly. ☺️☺️

🌿✨ Our Little Eco Heroes at Work! ✨🌿

Today our Reception children were finally able to return to exploring our lovely woodland area 🌳💚 after it had sadly become unsafe due to litter and remains of fires left behind.

Our amazing EYFS staff worked hard to clear the area, making it safe again for the children 🙌 and then the children themselves stepped in to help finish the job! Equipped with litter pickers, enthusiasm and big caring hearts, they helped pick up the remaining litter and learned all about looking after our environment 🌍♻️

To make sure our woods stay beautiful for everyone, the children also created some fantastic posters 🎨 reminding visitors to:
🗑️ Take their rubbish home
🔥 Not light fires
🌱 Respect and care for nature

We are so proud of their teamwork, responsibility and passion for protecting the world around them 💛

Please help us keep our woodland a safe and special place for the children to learn and explore 🌳✨

Year 3 Wylam Trip - part 1 🌳🏡🌿

Year 3 were fantastic today on their trip! They thoroughly enjoyed learning more about George Stephenson and the railways 🚂 as well as sketching the cottage and bridge and walking through the nature reserve listening out for different wildlife. Finished with fun at the park with sun, rain, hail and thunder all in the space of 15 minutes! ☀️⛈️ Well done year 3 🥰

✨☀️SUMMER FAYRE TOMORROW AFTER SCHOOL IN THE HALL ☀️✨

Please line up at the office after pick up and we will open the doors.

The children in years 1-4 have been working on the”make £5 grow project”, where they create items to sell using only £5. They then sell their product to make a profit. We have bookmarks, sweet treats, bracelets, games and much more.

Alongside this we have a tombola with all of your amazing donations.

CASH ONLY - most items are 50p or £1.

Thanks in advance, your donations will go back to school and with a percentage going to our chosen trust charity this year 💕
