I am excited to announce High Hopes Childminding is expanding. Myself and my family picked up the keys to our nursery premises this weekend 🎉 High Hopes Day Nursery is based in Prudhoe, next to Adderlane Academy and Prudhoe Family Hub in the former Di and Jim’s Nursery premises.

I will be continuing to childmind until it is ready to open. There is a lot to complete and I can’t wait to for all of the ideas to pull together to be able to provide quality childcare, learning and development for the future children of High Hopes Day Nursery.

At High Hopes Childminding we carry out a range of fine and gross motor skills daily to support children with their development. Carrying out fine motor activities develops children’s:

- Mark making/writing skills
- Skills to manipulate objects
- Skills to dress and undress themselves
- Skills to feed themselves
- Builds self-esteem and confidence
- Engagement in creative activities
- Hand-Eye co-ordination
- Visual strength preparing children for reading
- Skills to complete self care tasks such as brushing teeth

Today we have been focussing on tracking, matching, puzzles, identifying colours, counting, telling a story and much more 📖

This weeks story is Ten Little Robots which one of our children chose from our last visit to the library 🤖

Yesterday we finished the week off with a fun filled morning at Jumbo Jungle Soft Play. The children loved it! 🥰

Todays morning adventure …

Children have identified what they could hear, see, smell and touch. They have played hide and seek, participated in imaginative play, learned new vocabulary, counted and identified colours 🚂 ✈️ 🌲 ⛅️ 🍁 🐦 🔔

They have loved jumping in muddy puddles and collecting stones 🥰

This week we have enjoyed exploring more of the outdoors continuing to develop our gross and fine motor skills, learning new vocabulary, collecting leaves, acorns and pine cones as well as counting and identifying colours.

And of course splashing in puddles 🥰

Our Wednesday children thoroughly enjoyed Toddler Group also 👧 👦
