After a much-needed week off, I’m back in the salon today and I cannot WAIT to welcome you all back! 🥰💚

The Nail-Hormone Connection 💡
As a nail technician, I always tell my clients that our nails are a window into our internal health. This week, I got a firsthand reminder!
My thumb product peeled clean off, leaving behind a perfectly healthy, undamaged nail plate. This clean release is a classic indicator of an internal change—specifically, a hormone shift. Between my hair, skin, and joints all entering “survival mode” lately, my body is definitely trying to tell me something!
Hormonal fluctuations can alter the moisture balance and oil production of your nail beds, directly impacting how well gel or acrylic adheres.
If you experience sudden, uncharacteristic lifting:
It’s likely not your fault (or your tech’s!)
It’s a completely normal bodily response

So… it turns out I probably shouldn’t be left unsupervised 😅

First up, my lovely friend and I are taking on the Thames Path Half in June, raising vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support 💚 — a charity very close to both our hearts.

And just when that wasn’t enough… I’ve also signed myself up for the Ridge Off Roader 10K next weekend!! 🤪
