Princes Risborough Nursery Childrens Nursery based in Princes Risborough This has resulted in the creation of Princes Risborough Nursery!

Our family venture started as two brothers and sisters-in-law thinking about how to bring great childcare to Princes Risborough. As parents with 4 children between us we have considered our past experiences and we feel it is so important to be reassured when we go to work that our little ones are left with the best carers and a safe environment. We want to bring much needed childcare facility for

parents wishing their children to have an amazing early yearsโ€™ experience in the town of Princes Risborough. We want them to have fun, grow and enjoy every day in a safe and fun environment even when we are unable to be with them due to work commitments.

Following a successful six-year collaboration with New Beginnings Nursery in Bourne End, we are delighted to announce the launch of a new intergenerational partnership with Princes Risborough Nursery.

This initiative marks an exciting new chapter for our Risborough Centre. The first session took place this week, filling the room with the wonderful sounds of laughter, cheer, and conversation as children and older adults came together to share stories, activities, and smiles.

Our collaborations are built on friendship, inclusion, and mutual respect, fostering connections without judgement. Though our two organisations care for different generations, we share the same core values: compassion, creativity, and a commitment to providing nurturing environments for all ages.

We are excited to see this partnership grow and to witness the many special moments and meaningful relationships that will develop between the children and our residents in the weeks and months ahead.

This week our little explorers have been learning all about space! ๐ŸŒŒ
Theyโ€™ve loved getting creative with black, glittery galaxy playdough, metallic stacking pebbles, and peg people astronauts. Our space sand (made with sand, tinfoil and shaving foam!) was a big sensory hit, and we even built our very own space rocket in the garden using the giant waffle squares! ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿช

You know you love your children
And want them to have fun and play,
But in your thoughts youโ€™re wondering
What they have learnt today?
They said they found a butterfly
And it flew up to the sky,
But they gained a curiosity
And got them asking why?
They said they drew a picture
You saw some scribbles on a page,
But they were developing their muscles
For that later writing stage.
They said they climbed a tricky tree
Though they then got a high five,
But they really learnt to keep going
And continue giving it a try.
They said they played dressing up
And became a dragon big and red,
But they were building imagination
And creativity in their head.
They said they played hide and seek
And it was so much fun to play,
But it taught them many social skills
And they made a friend today.
They said they read a story
And it had a funny rhyme,
But they gained a special love for books

With school transitions just around the corner, we understand it can feel a little daunting for both children and parents! At Princess Risborough Nursery, weโ€™re here to be a supportive network, helping our Pre-schoolers and their families every step of the way. ๐Ÿ’ซ

To help build independence and self-care skills, we introduced a fun and interactive challengeโ€”The Getting Ready Race! ๐ŸŽฝ
The children practiced putting on and taking off shoes, socks, and other items of clothing, helping them prepare for big school moments like getting changed for PE. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ
Not only was this great preparation, but it also encouraged:

๐Ÿ‘‚ Listening & Attention โ€“ Following two-part instructions with focus and care

๐ŸŽ…โœจChristmas Magic is in Full Swing at Princes Risborough Nursery!โœจ๐ŸŽ…

The festive season is upon us, and our 2-5's Room is brimming with creativity, joy, and a sprinkle of Christmas magic! This week, the children have been busy little elves, transforming their outdoor play space into a magical Santaโ€™s Grotto โ€” and itโ€™s truly a sight to behold! ๐ŸŽ‰

Using their imagination, teamwork, and a whole lot of enthusiasm, the children built the grotto from giant waffle squares, developing their problem-solving and fine motor skills along the way. But they didnโ€™t stop there! To bring their creation to life, they delicately weaved shimmering tinsel through the squares, adding that extra sparkle of Christmas wonder. ๐ŸŒŸ

Every step of this process has been a fantastic opportunity for our little learners to explore key areas of development, including:
โœจ Creative Thinking โ€“ Designing and decorating their grotto from scratch!
โœจ Fine Motor Skills โ€“ Weaving tinsel and connecting waffle squares with care and precision.
โœจ Teamwork & Communication โ€“ Collaborating with friends, sharing ideas, and working together towards a shared goal.
โœจ Confidence & Independence โ€“ Taking charge of their own project and seeing it come to life!

These magical moments aren't just about festive fun (though thereโ€™s plenty of that, too!). Theyโ€™re about nurturing essential early years skills that will stay with our children long after the tinsel has been packed away.

Thank you to all our families that supported us on Friday for Children In Need!

The children enjoyed dressing up in spots, taking part in Pudsey inspired activities such as baking cakes and decorating them. We then ended the day with a party tea!

This week at Princes Risborough Nursery, we have had great fun celebrating halloween on Monday and Tuesday! ๐ŸŽƒ

The children have practiced their pumpkin carving skills, they then enjoyed playing with the inners for sensory play.
We washed the seeds to use with our Autumn spiced play dough, sticking and in the mud kitchen. ๐Ÿ‚

On Tuesday all the children came in dressed up in their halloween costumes and were able to have their face painted by Maryam.
The day was spent doing lots of halloween inspired activities and sports club!
