A really lovely idea that I will be doing with my 3 boys. 🥰 We are still doing cheeky elf antics for them to wake up to as they really look forward to it. Then in the evening the elves will hide something to add to the food hamper. 😊 Will definitely keep us all all busy over Christmas. 🎅🏻

Good morning..
One if our elves seen this yesterday and we absolutely love this idea. I know many if you will be absolutely dreading the elf on the shelves and coming up with new things to do..
Well why not try this. You could help support not only the foodbank but also smaller community groups that will be doing Christmas hampers this year.
I will gather a list today of groups you could support in your community.
The one I know that do amazing work in Ayr is Smith’s community Support last year they made up 50 food hampers for those in need in our local area.
This is definitely what my kids elves will be doing this year x🎄🎅☃️

⭐️ Thank you again to everyone who took part in our first ever Glenburn Scarecrow Trail and helped to make it a success. Our two winners received delivery of their fruit baskets this morning and were delighted with them! A massive thank you to Grants of Prestwick for donating one of our prizes. ⭐️

🎃 A big thank you to everyone that participated in our scarecrow trail whether building one of the amazing scarecrows or purchasing our trail map. TOGETHER WE RAISED £354!
With thanks to Grants of Prestwick for donating one of our prize hampers we are able to have 2 winners. 🎉
It was a really tough decision as they were all amazing but the prize for the funniest scarecrow goes to Fiona McIntosh and the scariest scarecrow goes to Heather Mitchell. Please send the page a message and we will get your prize organised for you. 😊

Over 40 scarecrows on Glenburn's Scarecrow trail. Please help the parent council fundraising by purchasing a map for only £2 and joining in the fun. Available at the school office for Glenburn pupils or Grants of Prestwick for our Prestwick friends. 🎃

🎃🎃🎃 Tomorrow (Friday 22nd) is the last day to let the parent council know your address to be added to the map for our Halloween scarecrow trail.🎃🎃🎃
If scarecrows can be ready for Friday the 29th please that would be brilliant. 💖

🎃 SCARECROW UPDATE 👻
Our lovely friends at Grants of Prestwick are kindly selling maps for our Scarecrow trail from Monday the 25th at a price of £2. 😊
Glenburn school parents and pupils can also pop to the window of the school office from the 25th and get a map that way if preferred so they are ready for the trail which starts on the 29th. 🎃
All money raised will directly help all the pupils at Glenburn which will help to fund school trips, coaches etc. 😊

🎃 Glenburn Primary Parent Council are excited to announce our first fundraising event of 2021! Due to covid, unfortunately we won't be able to throw a big Halloween disco but we are going to still make Halloween fun and hopefully have an amazing scarecrow trail for all our families to join in with. 🎃

🐝 On behalf of everyone on Glenburn Parent Council we would like to say goodbye to Mrs Linda Carins who has been Glenburns amazing Head Teacher for the past 6 years. We hope you enjoy every minute of your retirement and manage some more holidays in the sun as you most definitely deserve it! 🌞 Thanks again for all your support, you will definitely be missed! 💖
END OF TERM UPDATE
* Uniforms - online orders from May were delivered to the school on Monday and distributed to classes for children to take home. Should your child be absent this week (and if you haven't done so already) you can collect from the school office up until 1pm close tomorrow.
You may have received notification of a shortage to your order which will follow. The parents have already been contacted by the school office to allow correspondence from myself during the holidays by leaving a current contact number.
*New P1s - as normal, ties are gifted for this special transition and we had expected delivery in time for giving them out to pupils by the end of this week . Sadly this has not been this case and we are still awaiting an update. But you will receive the information you need regarding collection of ties via email from Mrs Blackwood today.
* Nursery parents- ordering your nursery uniform items is now about to take place and you will have received an email regarding this should you wish to do so. This includes a link to the Kylemark website where you can place your order and pay online.
These orders will be delivered to nursery within the summer weeks. Always allow around 2 weeks from the order closing date which is Friday 2nd July.

As directed by the school email today the uniforms can now be ordered via the Kylemark website for the new term (link on email)
All orders MUST be in by Sunday latest (23rd) to make this bulk order without exception.
The order will be delivered to the school just before the end of this term.
* there is a special price on the smart Softshell jackets at the moment so I would definitely consider scooping even a bigger size in one of these at £17. But please remember these are very small made so you will need to go up a size from normal!
Uniform orders which were placed online should be delivered to school this coming Monday.
