A look at today’s set up for the children due in. Trotting around the garden at 6.45am putting stuff out 🙈The new baby clothes were a hit as was the new cube slide (once I built it) 👷

A great trip to the Transport Museum!

We saw trains, buses, post office vans, bikes and scooters 🚂🚚🚲🏍️

The model trainer was definitely our favourite, one of the workers took the time to explain the history of it and show us the Thomas the tank engines that were set up on it.

We all had a dress up and pretended to drive the bus 🚌

We visited our favourite park today. The play area is great, has equipment for all ages. Lots of birds to watch around the pond. Chalkboards. A stage to dance and lots of trees to create shade for our al fresco lunch. Also a fab little cafe to a brew ☕️

Trains were the focus of our day 🚂

We visited Museum of Science and Industry to explore The Power Hall and the engines within it. We were overwhelmed with the size of them, we listened to realistic sounds of them and watched as one of them turned its wheels.

We enjoyed the role play section and the STEM activities.

I treated the children to a few train bits from the shop so we can continue our role play at home. The children used the flags to try and control, the traffic, the trams and the pram! 🤣

On the way to the tram R asked what the electricity pylon was so we had a lesson on that which tied in nicely with how the tram was powered that we were about to get on and how we use electricity in our homes. Every day is a school day 🤔
