Día de los Mu***os or Day of the Dead is a Mexican tradition. The holiday's origins date back to the pre-Hispanic people of Mexico led by the goddess Mictecacihuatl, known as “Lady of the Dead,” this celebration used to last a whole month! After the Spanish arrived in Mexico and began converting the native people to Catholicism, the holiday was moved to coincide with All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day - 1st and 2nd November! ***os
