Some of our members spent the day at Montrose Museum today, as part of the Jacobite Festival programme.

We set up display stations themed on military, naval, and civilian aspects of the last Jacobite Rising, against the backdrop of the wonderful "Tartan & Turmoil" exhibition.

Redcaps Montrose were also there, running a Battle of Falkirk wargame. We offered some sound tactical advice of course!

A few of us are are up at Crieff Museum today, as part of the Jacobite Scotland Festival.
Tomorrow some of us are off to Montrose Museum, so if you have missed us today perhaps we will see you there!

Come along to the museum this afternoon and chat to The Jacobite soldiers, they are here now and would love to see you!

We are delighted to be taking part in several events as part of this year's Jacobite Scotland festival.

The Jacobite Festival is back. From 15–23 August 2026, sites and attractions across Scotland come together for our third annual celebration of the Jacobite period, from 1688 to 1746 and beyond.

Scotland's Jacobite story spans castles, battlefields, hidden glens and forgotten rebellions. The festival shines a light on independently managed events that will highlight this fascinating and significant period of our history.

What a fantastic weekend we had for our "Highlands Rising" event at the Highland Folk Museum , where we went back to the summer of 1745 with living history and skirmishing.

Thanks to the museum for inviting us back once again, and to everyone who came along to meet us.
