Applebee Wood Summer Fair – Stallholders Wanted!
We are currently looking for local businesses who would be interested in renting a stall at the Applebee Wood Summer Fair.

Maple Class have been exploring Chinese food as part of their topic on Ancient China. On Friday, the children took part in preparing their own stir fry, carefully chopping and washing vegetables such as bok choy. The experience was a wonderful success, and Maple Class absolutely loved tasting the delicious dish they had created together!

Today, a small group of our learners who attend Preston Vocational Centre had the exciting opportunity to visit our new build. They spent time exploring the site and gaining valuable insights into different aspects of the building trade, which they will be able to take back and build upon in their work at PVC.

Our primary children had a wonderful time enjoying a special visit from some ducklings just before half term. It was a lovely hands-on experience, and the learners were fascinated watching and caring for them.

3SD enjoyed a lovely morning in the garden, planting sunflower seeds and learning about how they grow.

Chestnut Class enjoyed a lovely visit to the school library today. The children had the opportunity to explore the space, browse a range of books, and carefully choose stories to take back to the classroom to enjoy. We’re looking forward to plenty of shared reading time!

3DH have been designing and scoring clay tiles in their Technology lessons. These individual tiles will then be assembled to create a collaborative mosaic.

🦋 Cherry Blossom life cycles topic has been brought to life this week! After reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the children were amazed to see real butterflies that had just emerged from their cocoons. They loved watching them flutter around our butterfly habitat! 🐛✨
